20+ Gorgeous Flush Mount Lights for Every Budget

Looking to upgrade your space but have low ceilings? We’re sharing over 20+ of the most gorgeous flush mount lights – for every budget!

If you’re like me and have 8 foot high ceilings in your home, overhead lighting can really be a challenge! I’m a girl who loves a gorgeous chandelier, but with such low ceilings, that’s not always doable.

Of course you can always add multiple can lights to every space, but that tends to feel pretty sterile when it’s the only lighting in the room. A pretty flush mount – even if you’re combining it with cans – will look so much better!

Unfortunately, our new home has low ceilings in most of the house. So once we moved in, I set out trying to find decent flush mount lights that would bring interest and sophistication to each space. Needless to say, none of the dreaded ‘boob light’ that builders and flippers love to use would do!

I’m happy to report, there are so many great ones out there. All of these light fixtures are beautiful and chic – and we’ve found lots of gorgeous options at every price point! And even if you’re blessed with higher ceilings in your living areas, chances are you may need something shorter for a bathroom, laundry room, or closet.

Things to Keep in Mind When Buying Flush Mount Fixtures 

•Pay attention to how many bulbs the fixture has. Some of the smaller ones have only one, so those are better suited to closets or laundry rooms. If you’re using them in larger bedrooms or living areas, you’ll definitely want something with three or four bulbs. 

•Measure your ceilings. If the ceilings are only 8 feet high, you’ll most likely need a true flush mount vs. a semi-flush. The exception to that rule is if it’s going to hang over a bed or piece of furniture (with no one walking under it). If your ceilings are closer to 9 feet, you can definitely go with a semi-flush mount style.

In our previous office I was able to actually hang a small lantern because it was hanging over our desks.
