Hi everyone and welcome to a special post this week. I’m excited to be joining with some blogger friends to bring you an Easter blog hop! If you’re coming here from Lisa at Farmhouse on Boone, welcome! I’m so happy you’ve stopped by. And if you’re a regular reader, you know that last week I shared a bit of spring decor in my kitchen. This time around, I’m sharing my Easter decor in the kitchen, dining room and living room. There are 9 others joining me, so I hope you’ll stay tuned until the end and then go visit all the other talented bloggers listed at the bottom of the post!
I know some people don’t like to decorate for Easter at all, but I love this holiday! I don’t know if it’s because I love bunnies, or that I’m crazy for nests and eggs, or if it’s all the beautiful pastel colors, but this holiday just makes me happy! Though I decorate for spring earlier on in the season, but as Easter gets closer, I like to do more of the traditional Easter decor. And yes, that means some bunnies come out!
I love to have something on the kitchen counter that represents the season. In this case, I combined my new Pottery Barn bunny with some hydrangeas in an antique ironstone pitcher and a small bunny egg holder that I purchased last year.
This little guy is so cute!
I have a little Easter spread throughout the kitchen. Some was already here from my spring decor, and then I simply added more bunnies and an Easter tray.
The dining room is similar to what I had for my Easter table, except I took away the table settings and table cloth. I left the runner and the purple tulips because I loved the color so much!
I used two runners, one flax colored one from Williams Sonoma and then a pale lavender one layered on top from Home Goods. The basket is one I already owned from Pottery Barn and I simply added some purple tulips from the super market and filled it in with moss. The little nests are from World Market.
On the buffet is a vintage French zinc bucket filled with hydrangeas and two outdoor bunnies that I bought from TJ Maxx and Home Goods. The eggs are faux from Pottery Barn.
My entry way was already decorated for spring a couple of weeks ago, but I wanted to add more Easter decor so I used a green vine basket that I filled with faux eggs and then planted some tulips in simple terra cotta pots. It’s definitely more Easter-y than before, but this could still work all spring long which I love!
I just love these terra cotta pots used indoors. I’m thinking I’m doing this from now on!
And I do love using tulips – they just say “spring” to me!
I always love adding flowers in any season, but in spring, they seem especially appropriate.
A bird and nest rest on some books.
I filled my antique dough bowl with green moss eggs. The eggs are from Target! Love these!
