English Country Style: Our Favorite 2025 Design Trend
Do you love English country style as much as we do? We’re sharing lots of amazing finds that will help bring some of that English charm into your own home.
Though I cover the newest design trends every year, I have to say that this year more of them resonated with me than ever before.
My personal favorite design trends of 2025 are English Country Style and Cozy Romanticism – and I think we could argue that they are under the same umbrella. Both involve a return to traditional furniture and floral fabrics, as well as things like wallpaper and skirted furniture.

This style feels charming and old-fashioned in the best way. To me, English country style is timeless and I love that it’s having a resurgence! I’m even hoping to add a little English country to my French country style in the new home!
And because this style leans more traditional, these pieces are easily added to your existing space.

Hi Sheila! I love this post. I don’t comment often but always read your posts . I love the English decor and am slowly trying to incorporate it in. What do they do with the TV set up? How does one replace the large entertainment piece with English decor? Been searching online for days!

As for the TV, I think most people these days are ordering a flat Frame TV (one that attaches to the wall). That way you don’t need any furniture to hold it. You can then add the artwork. That way it’s not a big, black box and looks like art in the space!

I was a big fan of English Country style back in the 1990s and had a lot of textiles and furniture that represented that style. I still have some antique wood pieces that fit that aesthetic but overall my style is more organic/casually classic (if that makes sense). I love how our styles can evolve and build on each other over the years so our homes feel collected and not like we just shopped for all new things in one day. I do still love that English Country look but feel it wouldn’t fit our SW Florida home as well as the traditional home we had in North Carolina back in the 1990s. Thanks for your fun and inspiring decorating posts. I always get new insights from them.
