Happy New Year friends! Are you a person who makes New Year’s resolutions, or looks back over the year as a whole? I do love the idea of taking a look at the past year ~ an inventory of sorts ~ both personally and professionally. Not just to make resolutions (though I do that, too), but also to see what worked and what didn’t here at Maison de Cinq. When it comes to the blog, I have the advantage of being able to look at analytics and see what you all liked best. And to be honest, my Top Ten Posts always surprise me – at least a little!
Hello friends and Happy Almost New Year! Today I’m joining in on a really fun and different blog hop, hosted by my friend Lory of Designthusiasm! Eighteen of us are sharing our home changes and makeovers that we accomplished in 2019. Everything from lighting and paint changes to full kitchen remodels ~ there are so many great posts here. And it’s such fun to get inspiration and ideas from what others have done!
Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a very special post with you all, and one of my favorites of the year. I’m joining some blogging friends for the annual Christmas Nights Tour hosted by Rachel of Maison de Pax. This is such a special tour because it’s the only one I know of where we’re sharing our Christmas lights at night. And for me, nighttime at this time of year takes on a special kind of magic.
As is typical of me this time of year, I’m still busily shopping, and I haven’t wrapped a thing! I seem to always put it off which leads to rushing and usually, pretty uninspired packages of a bow slapped on some paper. And I’m determined to change that! If you’re like me and you want to up your wrapping game, then this is the post for you! There are lots of stunning fancy packages out there, but some of the prettiest are also some of the simplest. I love simple papers, with maybe some greenery, a creative tag or something else special on top.
Funny enough, I was going to share my Christmas dining room with you when I shared the Christmas living room last week, but it just seemed like an overwhelming amount of photos! I never want you to feel bored or like the post is too long – so much better to have you wanting more! So, rather than only have a few photos of each room, I thought it better to split it into two posts (which is what I did last year 😉 ).
Recently I joined a blog hop where we all talked about our homes and why we bought them. Well today we’re back, although on a very different note. Today we’re all sharing about the Spirit of Christmas in our own towns or areas, hosted by Jennifer of Town and Country Living. And I’m sharing all about the best holiday events in Southern California. I rarely do any posts about travel, and I definitely have never done one about things to do in my home town so this is such a fun treat for me!
