An ottoman used as a coffee table, is actually one of my favorite decorating techniques. It’s a great way to have extra seating in a room, so they work really well in smaller homes. They also add a softness to a space, so if you have a lot of hard edges or your room is “all legs” (meaning you have no slipcovered furniture) they can also help even that out. Also, if you need a larger size coffee table which can sometimes be hard to find, an ottoman can often be ordered in a custom size to get exactly what you need. And of course, they are super comfortable to put your feet up on! For that reason, coffee table ottomans work especially well in family rooms.
Hi there and Happy Friday! Every month I get together with a group of bloggers to do a monthly blog hop. Well, this month we’ve decided to talk flowers! Flowers are in abundance this time of year, so we thought it would be fun to focus on decorating with flowers. And who doesn’t love doing that?! If you’ve been here before, you know that flowers are a big part of my decor.
Hi everyone and welcome to a special post this week. I’m excited to be joining with some blogger friends to bring you an Easter blog hop! If you’re coming here from Lisa at Farmhouse on Boone, welcome! I’m so happy you’ve stopped by. And if you’re a regular reader, you know that last week I shared a bit of spring decor in my kitchen. This time around, I’m sharing my Easter decor in the kitchen, dining room and living room. There are 9 others joining me, so I hope you’ll stay tuned until the end and then go visit all the other talented bloggers listed at the bottom of the post!
Today I’m so excited to be joining two of my favorite blogger friends, Cindy of Rough Luxe Lifestyle and Mary Ann of Classic Casual Home, for one of their monthly Project Design challenges. They’ve invited me and 6 other bloggers and designers to participate in an entry way refresh for spring. I have to admit, as thrilled as I was to be included, I was also a little hesitant. My entry way is not very large, and by far the darkest room in my whole house! But, since this is a design challenge, I decided I would challenge myself to see if I could improve this area!
Hello everyone and Happy Friday! If you’re coming here from my friend Oscar’s, welcome! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by. And if you’re a regular reader, today I have something special to share with you! This week I’m joining 13 amazing bloggers and we’re sharing our ideas on how to style your home for spring. We’re all doing a different take on the season. Some are doing tablescapes, some just a room, and some a whole house. There are a ton of ideas and all different styles, so you’re bound to find some inspiration! Today I’ll be sharing my new spring kitchen with you all!
I’m definitely a kitchen lover; it’s my absolute favorite room in the house. And I also adore French style. So putting the two together is absolute perfection to me! French farmhouse kitchens is a look that I’ve always gravitated to. It’s a little more rustic in style. Rather than just echoing “French Country” like mine and many other kitchens do, these either are actual farmhouse kitchens or look like they could be right in the middle of Provence.
