Happy weekend friends! And what a happy weekend it is. Today it is in the 80s – woot, woot!! I can’t even tell you how excited I am to have some truly warm weather! And how appropriate that I would be sharing some more spring decorating with you today.
It’s spring! Well, not exactly or officially, haha! But it is March. And we sprung ahead on the clocks this past weekend, so it’s as close as we need to be to decorate!
I know a lot of friends and readers who have asked me about decorating for winter or spring. It seems everyone decorates for the holidays, and that’s kind of straight up and obvious. Everyone gets that one. But winter and spring are another story. Especially when you don’t celebrate Easter, or when Easter is really late, like this year. It’s sometimes hard to figure out what the right balance is. How to do it easily. How not to get too “theme-y.” And how to do it without breaking the bank!
A couple of weeks ago, I shared some early spring decorating in the kitchen. Because spring hadn’t nearly arrived yet, and because Easter was still so far away, it felt a little early to bring out the bunnies at that point. But not now! This week I couldn’t resist bringing out just a few! So today I’m sharing some simple but festive ideas for Easter decorating. I don’t ever want to go too crazy or “themed” with my decor, but it’s such a cheerful season that I love bringing a touch into the house each year.
As promised, I’m back today with another spring post. If your weather is anything like ours, it feels like spring is still a long ways away ~ but I’m hopeful! I’m of the “If we decorate for it, it will come!” mind, and I’m sticking to it! 😉 We are in the midst of yet another rainstorm so a little spring cheer is definitely in order here!
Okay, I know I said I like winter. And I said I like rain. And I do. Except when it’s been weeks and weeks of it!
But this week we finally got some sun – and it felt so good! It’s still cold, but at least the grey skies are gone for now (though an Alaskan storm is supposed to bring snow this week – snow!!) If you’re anything like me, you’re ready for spring to arrive, so today I’m sharing some simple spring decorating in the kitchen.
I’m not one to do a lot of decorating for Valentine’s Day, but I do like to do a little something as a nod to the holiday. When the kids were younger, I did much more in terms of decor and gifts. However, this year I wanted to keep it simple while still making it feel festive!
