Gathering. Spending time with friends and family around a table. Is there anything better?
As I’m sure you know by now, I love fall! The warm scents, cozy sweaters, changing leaves… they all just put me in the mood for more cooking and baking, and more entertaining.
Today I’m sharing an earthy and warm fall table setting in tones of green and brown that’s perfect for any fall entertaining you might be doing. I’m loving these hues! They say fall, but in a more subdued way than the bright oranges and rusts.
I’ve been wanting to create a tablescape with apples for awhile now. I love that apples signify fall, but in a more subtle way than say, pumpkins do. They’re perfect for this “in-between” season that we have right now. Fall is coming, but I know it’s still hot in many areas (including mine!) So this charming fall table setting is perfect for this late summer/early fall season that we’re in!
This autumn tablescape captures the feeling of a rustic harvest, combining distressed elements with pumpkins and dried artichokes with depth added from touches of gold and copper.
We are in the middle of a heat wave and I’m dreaming of cooler weather and falling leaves. But while I’m waiting, I’m finding ways to be creative, and one of my favorite things to do is create tablescapes. Fall entertaining is one of my favorites! For me, there’s no easier time to entertain – I love that the food is things like a roast chicken and vegetables that can just be thrown in the oven. This is the season of cozy, which for me, calls for more time with family, cooking, baking, and entertaining.
These final few weeks of summer are always so bittersweet. That special feeling that only summer can bring starts to wind down. The kids go back to school, vacation seems like it was months ago, and it might even be cooling off a little (well, not where I am, but you know, in some places) 😉 But that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy this last bit of the season! I, for one, am all about squeezing out a few more memorable meals before the summer really is gone.
