Hello friends! Today I’m back with more outdoor inspiration for the summer, but this time, we’re talking summer tablescape ideas! I’m joining the Styled + Set Tour, hosted by my good friend Lory of Designthusiasm. If you’re coming over from Edith and Evelyn Vintage, welcome, I’m so glad you’re here. For even more inspiration, be sure to check out the other stunning tables and entertaining ideas linked at the bottom of the post!
Well, I don’t know about the weather where you are, but this is my first full week of sunshine since last fall, and I’m positively giddy! With Memorial Day behind us (the “official” start of summer 😉 ) and this warm weather, I’m in full-on summer mode!
I love summer entertaining, it’s probably my favorite thing about the season. Dining outside, lingering over good conversation with friends, spending an evening in the backyard. These are all a big part of summer for us. However, I don’t know about you, but our weather is not always cooperative! Especially in these early summer months of May and June. Our days are gloomy, grey, and even rainy. But of course, we still want to entertain!
Well, there’s definitely spring fever in BlogTown because this is my third post this week all about spring decor and/or entertaining! I know it’s unusual for me to have this many posts in a week, but when friends ask you to share a pretty table, you have to oblige, right? Earlier in the week I shared a spring table in shades of blue, and today I’m joining my friend Bre at Rooms for Rent along with some other fabulously talented bloggers for her spring tablescape hop! (Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see all the tables being shared!)
I don’t know about all of you, but my husband and I haven’t dined out on Valentine’s Day in probably fifteen years! That night it is overly crowded, and the food is always expensive. Most years we do a dinner out on another night and a family dinner on Valentine’s Day itself. But this year, it falls on a Thursday which happens to be a night my teens will be out at a weekly function. So I thought, why not do a special dinner at home in our own dining room? Candles, good food, uninterrupted conversation and no crowds or over-priced food – sign me up!
