Every year I spend a good amount of time looking for interesting, fun and creative stocking stuffer ideas for my kids’ and my husband’s stockings. When I was growing up, our stocking stuffers weren’t all in the stocking! My mom always had other slightly bigger things that she’d put more thought into. They were in the stocking along with the other smaller things, or if they didn’t fit, they were “next” to the stocking. And I’ve continued that tradition. I’m here to say, not all stocking stuffers have to be in the stocking!
Hello friends and Happy Thanksgiving week! I know that a lot of you start shopping this week (as do I) so I wanted to share some more gift-giving ideas with you today! The last couple of years I shared a lot of gift categories, everything from gifts for foodies, to pet lovers, to teens, but what I noticed was the category you guys most responded to is the hostess gift ideas!
Can you believe it?! It’s that time of year again! The time of year that many people dread. There are so many of my friends and family that really struggle with this. They don’t know what to get, or where to go to get it, or even where to start looking! And when the pressure is on, it makes it even more difficult. They almost go into a panic and buy the first thing they see! Well, I’m here to say – don’t do that!! I’m here to help! Gift-giving is truly one of my favorite things to do, so today I’m sharing my holiday gift ideas with you! I find it challenging (and yes, even fun 😉 ) to find the perfect gift for someone.
So today, I thought we’d take a little break from fall decorating. And why is that you ask? Because I’m excited to share with you a surprising new source for French country decor!
Have you guys checked out Walmart lately? Ever since I did the sweet tablescape a few weeks ago featuring items from their new Vintage Chic home line, I’ve been obsessed! While perusing the site and taking a look at all the cute new items they carry, I found so many gorgeous French country finds at Walmart that I wanted to take a moment to share them with you!
UPDATE: JULY 24TH!!
So now that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public, I’m back for an update! As I mentioned before, things sell out fast so some of what I recommended is gone. But the good news is, many of my items are still in stock – yay! And for the things that are gone, I was able to find similar options for most of them! You’ll still want to use your Nordstrom card if you have one so you can get the points. In fact, I usually use my Anniversary Sale shopping day(s) as one of my double or triple point days to rack up those Nordstrom notes!
You all know I love French farmhouse style, and one of the most frequent questions I get both through the blog and on Instagram is about where I find my French furniture pieces and accessories. And of course, you know how much I love to find those authentic vintage French pieces. I spend a lot of time doing vintage shopping, both online and at antique stores and flea markets.
