Lately I’ve been really loving mirrors. Because, ironically, of all the things I decorate with, mirrors are not usually one of them. I tend to buy art more than I buy mirrors. Not including bathroom mirrors, I have two – two! – decorative mirrors in my whole home! I have a mirror over my living room mantel, and my beloved French antique trumeau mirror in my entry way which is one of my all-time favorite things I’ve ever purchased. But I’ve been wanting to add a couple more.
Hi everyone! Today is a very special Thursday as it is the first day of Early Access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! That means if you are a Nordstrom card holder, you can shop the sale today, 8 days before the general public! So if you are not already a cardholder, I highly recommend you become one (click here to apply)! Not only do you get access to this amazing sale-of-all-sales well before the public, but you also earn points for every dollar spent! However, if you don’t want another credit card, have no fear, you can peruse my list here and make some notes on items you like, and shop on July 20th when the sale goes public!
So I’ve been looking for a dining room table for what seems like forever now! Not looking everyday, all-the-time mind you, but looking here and there and shopping around for at least two years. I’ve been looking on the internet, in catalogs, shops, and antique stores, as well as on sites such as Chairish and Ebay.
Antique lanterns are something I’ve been smitten with for awhile now. I first fell in love with them when this kitchen was featured in a magazine a few years ago. I didn’t even realize that they were originally French outdoor lanterns, I just knew that I loved them!
