I can hardly believe it’s September, school has started, and we are entering my favorite season! Fall can never come soon enough for me. I love everything about it. The changing leaves, pumpkin spice anything, and cooler weather (well, that has yet to come, but you know, at some point!)
We’ve all heard the saying, I know, so you may think my answer doesn’t seem terribly original. But I am really not kidding when I say we chose our house for the location, because, it’s almost the only reason to have chosen it!
Today I’m sharing the back story of our house and why we chose it, and I’m joining 13 other bloggers who are also sharing their “Why I Chose My House” stories! This blog hop is hosted by my friend Jennifer of Town and Country Living.
Is it summer where you are yet? It’s definitely arrived here! We went from our gloomy May and June mornings to it being almost 90 degrees today! And believe me, I’m not complaining. I’ve been wanting some sunshine and warmth for months now, so it feels delicious. (Though when you speak to me in August, I might not be feeling quite as happy about it, haha!) 😉
It’s hard to believe we’re already half way through May!! How did that happen?! I feel like I was just talking about winter decorating, and now we’re well into spring and about to talk summer! (Not that I’m complaining mind you – we’ve had such a rainy winter and quite a gloomy spring so I’m very ready for some sun!)
Do you love spring as much as I do?! To me, it is one of my favorite seasons. There is just something so lovely about the flower buds popping out, the grass turning green, and some sunshine on your face after a long (and in my case, wet) winter!
It’s spring! Well, not exactly or officially, haha! But it is March. And we sprung ahead on the clocks this past weekend, so it’s as close as we need to be to decorate!
I know a lot of friends and readers who have asked me about decorating for winter or spring. It seems everyone decorates for the holidays, and that’s kind of straight up and obvious. Everyone gets that one. But winter and spring are another story. Especially when you don’t celebrate Easter, or when Easter is really late, like this year. It’s sometimes hard to figure out what the right balance is. How to do it easily. How not to get too “theme-y.” And how to do it without breaking the bank!
