Hi all! Today I’m sharing some fun news, and that is that starting today I’m joining the Sundays at Home Link Party! This party is hosted by five fellow bloggers, Kelly at My Soulful Home, Julie at The Little Farmstead, Kristy at Starfish Cottage, Susan at Love of Home, and Jennifer at Celebrating Everyday Life. I’m excited to join these wonderful ladies and be inspired by all that is shared each week!
Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays, and I also hope you’ve had a chance to do some relaxing and unwinding after the busyness of the season.
As each year comes to a close, I usually take this last week to relax and recharge. And also, to take stock. One of the things I like most about blogging is the fact that everything is documented; it’s fun to go back and look at what I was doing, interested in, and talking about during the different points of the year. And, I love seeing how each post has done. It’s sometimes surprising to see what post did the best, and what people responded to the most (and those two are not necessarily the same!)
Good morning, I’m writing with an exciting announcement today! I’m so thrilled to tell you that I’ll be joining the bHome app! Have you heard of it? Well, let me tell you, it is pretty amazing! For those of you who love decor, design magazines, home decor blogs, and Pinterest, this is the app for you. I partnered with a group of some of my favorite blogger friends to present different ways of decorating a holiday table. I focused on neutral Christmas colors and more of a natural look, and I loved the way it turned out. You can see the full post, with all my sources, here. 9. Friday Favorites – White Kitchens The next most popular post was a Friday Favorites posts and this one talked about one of my all time favorite things – white kitchens! Apparently you all love them as much as I do! This post has so many amazing examples; lots of eye candy and pin-worthy images! =&8=& =&8=& =&10=& =&8=& Home tours consistently tend to be amongst my most popular, and this year was no exception. This was actually my first ever Spring tour, and I loved being a part of it. Again, I teamed up with some amazing bloggers and there was a ton of inspiration! 7. Collected Look Essentials #5- Style Mix I was so happy to see that one of my posts from the Collected Look Series was included in the Top Ten Posts of 2016! This series is about how to get a “collected look” in your home decor, and it’s also one of which I am most proud. It’s something that I truly believe in and that I strive to achieve in both my own home and those of my clients. If you click on the #5 post, you can also get to the previous four posts in the series. 6. Friday Favorites – The LWD And the first fashion post debuts at the 6th most popular post of the year! This post was during last summer so of course, it’s very seasonal. However, it’s also timeless. A clean, crisp white dress is a classic and always in style! =&15=&
I need to step away from any thoughts of decorating, or clothing, or errands, or “to do’s” today. Last night my beloved Golden Retriever, Scout, had a sudden and unexplained seizure. It was horrible.
To experience someone you love, human or canine, thrashing and drooling and unaware is just simply, terrifying.
