Featuring pumpkins, lanterns and greenery, this cozy fall table setting is perfect for a casual Thanksgiving, small Friendsgiving or fall dinner party!
Thanksgiving is definitely one of my absolute favorite times of the year. The combination of family and feasting is hard to beat. It’s a truly American holiday – inclusive of everyone and celebrating gratefulness, which is what I love about it. And it’s also got pumpkin pie! 😉
This cozy table is the perfect mix of casual and festive – plus it couldn’t be easier!
Sometimes my table settings take awhile to create, and sometimes they come more easily. Thankfully, this was in the latter category! This plaid throw had the color palette I was looking for, and once I decided to use it as a tablecloth, it all came together.
I envisioned a warm and cozy table centering on the plaid throw, featuring tones of brown, tan, and green. And I wanted to create a super easy tablescape, so no flowers this time!
Neutral pumpkins in white and green with lots of eucalyptus and acorns create a simple and easy to recreate centerpiece.
The decorative salad plates are something I already owned, and they tied into the tones in the plaid perfectly.
The salad plates are layered over simple white dinner plates and some wood chargers. I love the color of these!
The little mercury glass votives are my absolute favorite – I can’t tell you how many tables I’ve used them on!
They work for Thanksgiving as well as Christmas and holiday tables, and they’re lovely on a mantel or coffee table, too.
The little wood acorns add some additional seasonal texture.
I used a casual French wine glass just because it seemed to work better with feel of the table. These goblets have a very European feel and I love that they aren’t as delicate or breakable as my typical glasses!
This warm and cozy table setting is casual, but still festive. And you could easily use an old throw or layer a couple of scarves to achieve the same look!
The wood lanterns are my favorites that I use again and again. They work for everything from table settings, to outdoor decorating, to porch decor.
Here I used real candles, but when they’re outside I typically use faux candles for safety.
The napkins with their sweet message of gratitude seem especially poignant this time of year. These were a lucky find at Home Goods, but I’ve found a few similar options that convey the same feeling.
Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Whether it’s small and intimate, a Friendsgiving spent with friends, or surrounded by dozens of extended family, may you enjoy the camaraderie of gathering together.

Aww thanks so much Michele! Those were a lucky find at Home Goods – I’ve tried finding them but haven’t had any success yet. I linked a very similar set that is equally as cute below:

And the set I linked is frequently available on Ebay so it’s pretty easy to find a full set. Hope that helps!
