Easy Spring Decorating in the Living Room: 20+ Spring Mantel Ideas

So ironically, as I write this it is pouring rain today! Well, it may be raining outside, but it is full-on spring in here! Today I’m sharing some easy spring decorating ideas in the living room, and I’m joining over 20 friends who are also sharing some spring mantel and vignette ideas.

My mantel is a place that I frequently start with when doing seasonal decor. It’s a big focal point in the living room, and I love to change it up as the seasons change.

This spring, I wanted to do something simple and fresh. I’m all about simple these days. And low maintenance. And easy. So I grabbed some simple glass vases and some florals, and I went to town! And the thing that might surprise you? All the florals aren’t real!

To create this simple mantel, I went with flowers in soft pinks and whites. There is just something about pink that says spring to me. 🙂

Sticking to the design basic of “threes” I used three different, but similar, glass vases. I fell in love with these large French mason jars!!

I added some greenery to the room, too, with a plant on the coffee table and another on the hearth.

And the surprise is that all of the florals are not real! Some are. But some are faux. Can you guess which are which?

I absolutely love the soft pink color, and I also love that this will last for at least a couple of weeks! In fact, as I write this, they are still there and have been for about 10 days.

Do you think you know now? The truth is, the roses and hydrangeas are real, but the allium is faux! What’s great is the allium won’t need to be changed, and I chose hydrangeas and roses because they both tend to last a pretty long time.

And once they’re gone, I can keep the allium here all season 😉

I love the simplicity of this, and the fact that (at least some of) the flowers will last for a few weeks!

And hopefully you’ve gotten some ideas for some easy spring decorating of your own! You could also absolutely do this with all faux if you choose to go that way. I’ve sourced some wonderful glass vases (some are the ones here, but I’ve found lots of great other ones, too) and some faux florals in case you want to do something similar!
