Fall Front Porch Decor: Warm Shades of Autumn
This fall front porch decor welcome guests in the warm shades of autumn with pretty seasonal wreaths and lots of heirloom pumpkins.
Most years I’m putting out my fall front porch decor towards the middle of September, but this year I took my time. Rather than rush it, I really savored creating a welcoming porch.
Now when guests or friends visit, they are greeted with seasonal touches like pretty wreaths, as well as my favorite heirloom pumpkins in lots of warm autumn colors!

Hudson says welcome!
As I always do, I started with the wreath. It really sets the tone for the whole porch! I love that this one says fall in a subtle way, with mixed eucalyptus leaves as the base and a few warm berries giving a nod to the season.
The best part? Change out the ribbon or take away or add more berries and it could easily be used year-round!
But I did tweak it some! I added this cute striped ribbon as well as a few rust colored flowery bits to bring more fall color to it.
The pumpkins are almost all real, with just a couple faux ones mixed in – another advantage of starting later! Normally I’m decorating before a lot of real pumpkins are available, but this year, there was plenty! 🙂
A mix of fairytale and heirloom pumpkins in colors of faded orange, white and sage green along with orange and white mums create a warm autumnal palette. And of course, my favorite lanterns!
And I couldn’t resist adding a pretty fall pillow and cozy throw onto our porch bench!
It’s the perfect spot to sit and have an afternoon tea or sit with Hudson while he eagerly looks for any visitors (or UPS men!)
There’s no reason to buy a million pumpkins or add scarecrows and bales of hay (though that’s fine, too!)
You can create beautiful fall front porch decor with just a few pumpkins, colorful mums, and pretty wreaths – and it will last all the way until you’re putting out that holiday decor!

This is beautiful! I did the same muted look on my front porch last weekend and I am in love with it. The neighbors are complimenting about the style and I will have to tell them now to check out your blog for ideas!

Thanks so much Yvonne! My doors are painted semi-gloss in Black from Dunn Edwards. Yes- just plain “Black” – no special or fancy name!
