The other day I realized I had been so busy all summer that I hadn’t done a tablescape since July 4th! I do usually like to toy around with tablescape ideas at least a couple of times a month. Not only for fun, but also so that when we entertain I have something prepared beforehand. I adore doing them; it’s kind of a fun, creative outlet for me. If you love them too, be sure to check out my free e-book with twelve pretty and easy tables – one for each month of the year!
Anyway, I decided that I really wanted to get one of those natural willow pumpkins to use in my fall decorating this year. I saw them a lot last year, both at Pottery Barn and places like Home Goods, so I thought it would be easy to find. I was hoping to get 3 or 4 to use on the mantel, but alas, I have only found one so far. So that is how it ended up setting the tone for my natural fall tablescape!
In addition to using the naturalness of the willow pumpkin, I wanted to use some natural flowers or plants. I usually buy flowers at Trader Joe’s or another market, but I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could do a creative table using just whatever I could find out in nature. So, when I walked the dog, I brought the clippers! Here is what I came up with for my natural fall tablescape….
I loved these little brown fluffy “plumes” and as soon as I found them on my morning walk! I think they’re perfect for a natural fall tablescape. |

I adore the natural elements of your tablescape combined with your monochromatic color scheme, dear one!
Something about plaid and Autumn that just join hand~in~hand in decor!
Fondly,

So nice when you can use things you find. I think I bought my pumpkin at Homegoods as well a couple years ago but haven't seen any this year. Pretty table!
