This stunning French style home mixes rustic and refined elements to create a warm and inviting vibe. Sitting on two acres in Alberta, Canada this is a true dream home!
Today I’m sharing another gorgeous home as part of our Inspiring Homes Series, and this one is truly special! My friend Kaitlyn is a designer and she lives here with her husband and two young children. Her pretty feminine style mixes classic elements with a modern twist and lots of texture to create a truly stunning home!
The porch sets the tone for the entire home with lovely French style doors and lanterns and lots of rustic brick.
Her entryway creates instant drama with this beautiful staircase!
Built in 2011 and purchased by Kaitlyn in 2017, the home sits on over two acres outside Calgary in Canada.
The living room mixes whites and woods with lots of texture. The stone fireplace and wood ceiling beams are wonderful focal points in the room.
Wood floors and French chairs make for an elegant statement.
Kaitlyn says her favorite room in the house is the kitchen. “It’s the most used space in our home and it’s a space where we love to cook, bake and craft. The kids and I share a love of baking and its one of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday. You can often find my husband and I cooking away and love to host friends and family whenever we can.”
Isn’t her marble just stunning? And I love the range hood!
The dining room includes more of her signature whites and woods, along with a statement-making chandelier.
Last spring we gave our master bedroom a full overhaul and I am so happy to have a quiet and calm space to go to at the end of a busy day. We added DIY wall moulding throughout and a fresh coat of paint to the whole space. It reminds me of a beautiful hotel we stayed in while on a trip to Paris!
Her master bathroom is one of my absolute favorites! That large mirror is so gorgeous!
Her office includes beautiful wood wainscoting and another pretty French chair.
The outdoor living space continues the rustic refined style with French cafe chairs and a large fireplace.
Kaitlyn and her husband both grew up in the city so acreage living was new to them. Since moving to this property they’ve fallen in love with the land and wildlife. Both deer and moose stroll through their yard regularly!
I hope you enjoyed the tour of this gorgeous French style home! You can see more of Kaitlyn’s home and style on her Instagram account, and for more information on her design business check out her website here.
