Fresh and Simple Spring Decorating Ideas: Living Room Refresh
Add some springtime charm to your home with these fresh and simple spring decorating ideas. I’m sharing easy spring decorating tips that will help bring the season into your home!
Today I’m sharing my last spring decorating post of the season, and it’s probably my favorite! Why, you ask?! Well, not only did I ‘springify’ my living room but I also changed some art around and re-styled the mantel, and I’m so much happier with how it looks!
I’m loving the mirror change, and I added the leaning landscape painting to add some color to the mantel.

Some branches in a vintage French urn also bring some freshness and greenery to the vignette. And believe it or not, these branches are faux! They are amazing – I’ve literally never seen a more realistic looking faux branch!!
I kept the coffee table simple with fresh tulips (they really say ‘spring’ don’t they?!), my bowl of vintage marble eggs and this cement bird. I love using pieces that are meant for the outdoors at all times of the year, but it’s especially effective with spring decor.
A touch of something on the inside that’s meant to be on the outside is the perfect way to bring the garden indoors!
And it wouldn’t be spring without my collection of vintage marble and alabaster eggs! Mine are a mix of new and vintage, and I’ve been collecting them for a few years now. I’ve been adding a few every year and now I’ve got a whole rainbow!
They’re in a simple wood bowl from Pottery Barn.
A pot of flowering jasmine on the console continues the theme of bringing in nature (the other of these is in the kitchen, you can see that tour here.
Another tip for lightening things up for spring is to swap out your decorative pillows!
These blue linen floral pillows are new and lend just the right amount of spring color to the sofa!
I hope this has given you some inspiration for ways to bring spring into your own home – simply and beautifully!

I love your room and the mantle is lovely! I’ve been thinking about changing out my sheers for shades. Could you tell me anything about the ones on your window? I love the lighter color than I see in some brands.
Hi Nancy! My shades are from Blinds Galore – you can read all the details in the post below!
