Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!
Summer is plugging along over here. Last weekend we managed to finally get to the beach for the first time all summer! Between the cold weather in June and then my foot surgery, we hadn’t gotten the chance. It was such a nice treat for the soul.
And this past week I took a little trip to Northern California because my husband was working up there, and I also got to visit my daughter (always a welcome sight!)
And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites!

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR
This project is one of my favorites by Studio McGee. The builtins are perfection!
Totally crushing on these pillows! They look way more expensive than they are, are a generous size, and have zippers, all of which is hard to find at this price point. Plus, their colors could work year-round, though they’d be especially pretty right now as a bridge to fall. They come in two color-ways that look great together and two sizes, 22″ square and a lumbar.
A few fab finds at H&M Home this week: this dessert plate and teacup have completely stolen my heart! The pattern is so sweet and vintage-y and I adore green. These checked napkins feel very French and are perfect for fall, and how cute is this pom pom pillow? Very Serena & Lily for a fraction of the price!
This rustic vase is quite a find and so large for the price! And I just got this beautiful scalloped tray that comes in travertine or marble. Soo pretty!!
And though I haven’t started decorating for fall yet, I have been looking around a bit and starting to plan. This week I splurged on this gorgeous pumpkin candle that I’m loving! It smells heavenly and the container comes in 3 colors this year – not just orange! I got the white, but it also comes in a pretty blue so you can have your pumpkin scent but still have it match your decor. 😉
I’m also hoping to get another set of these faux eucalyptus branches as they are so real looking and can be used everywhere. They are pricey but quite large – I’ve even cut them up to use in different arrangements and it’s worked well.
Last week’s best sellers: this adorable beach blanket and this wood serving set (my fave!)
THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING
Saw this versatile striped linen blazer this week and it’s over 50% off! The linen makes it work for now, and the color takes it all through the fall.
I love Quince for their cashmere and silk finds that are so well priced, and this week I got this cotton cashmere sweater (above). The dolman sleeve makes it so chic! Another great Quince find is their cashmere tee (comes in 15 colors and is under $50!)
How about this perfect mule? So good for now and for fall. And this might be the perfect faux leather blazer! Come in 3 colors but I love the brown!
It’s not often that I fall hard for a shoe, but this heeled loafer has me completely smitten!! It’s so stylish (reminds me of the Gucci version, but for far less). It also comes in a sling back pump. Both are so chic!
And I’ve been hearing about this handbag/tote on Instagram for months – it’s got quite the cult following! The braided style is so good and it’s perfect for travel or work.
Last week’s best sellers: you were all about the blouses! This pretty floral blouse and this drapey classic one.
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO
Ooh, we’re into a new and riveting show – isn’t that just the best?! Have you heard of Hijack? Our oldest recommended it first, and then I heard about 3 other people rave about it the same week so I knew we’d have to try it. We’re only about halfway done and loving it so far (and it’s been renewed for a second season!)
THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING
Well, since it remains hot here (and I hear most everywhere else!), we’re still focused on lighter fare for summer. These Grilled Caprese Pesto Chicken Skewers look easy, and good! And I’m dying to try this highly recommended Summer Pasta with Zucchini, Ricotta, & Basil.
