Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Wow, it feels like summer is flying by! School has already started here and just hearing the kids on the playground has reminded me that fall is around the corner!

Some years I’m dying for fall, and others I’m more about holding onto summer. This year I’ve really been savoring the season, but this last week I had my first inkling of getting excited for fall. We also have a hurricane headed our way (what?!) with heavy rainfall and possible flooding coming so I guess that will test whether I’m ready for a change in weather or not!

And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites!

This home is a beautiful mix of vintage and modern, with lots of texture. See it all here.

Do you remember when blogger Julia Berolzheimer had a line at Pottery Barn last year? Well, she’s back with another and it’s equally as pretty as the last. I’m totally crushing on these wicker planters (love!), I’ve been wanting some classic, large hurricanes and these are so good, as are all of these pretty serving pieces. There is also bedding, tablecloths, dishes and more.

This week I’ve been shopping fall a bit and transitioning slowly! Just ordered some of these gorgeous green linen tea towels – I love switching out my kitchen towels for the season. I’m also eyeing this pillow, and I love this chunky throw (and the fact that it’s all cotton and not poly!)

These lanterns are one of my absolute favorites and now they’re 40% off! They are gorgeous and I use them year-round inside and out, but their brass color is especially pretty come fall.

I’ve been hearing all about these curtains on Instagram for awhile now and I have to say, I’m impressed! I’m usually a big believer in custom draperies but there is not always the budget and these look amazing for ready-made! They have pleated tops, linen-look fabric and come in over 30 shades and multiple widths and lengths. I’m getting ready to order them for the guest room!

And this lamp! Such a great high-end look for an amazing price!

Last week’s best sellers: this well-priced pillow and these faux eucalyptus branches.

When fall arrives I’m all about the plaid blazer! I’ve always loved Veronica Beard blazers but I’ve never taken the plunge because of the price, but this gorgeous plaid is on major sale so I might bite the bullet! For a more reasonable option, I also love this one or this one.

I fell in love with this cropped trench coat (above) last year and it sold out before I could buy it, so I’m thrilled to see that it’s back (and on sale!) Soo chic and I love that the short length means it can be worn year round.

These slim wide-leg jeans look like they’d be flattering instead of over-whelming. I ordered the black, but they come in 4 shades.

I haven’t bought anything from Abercrombie in years but I saw this sweater tank and had to have it. I love it in the brown and plan to wear it into fall – you could even layer it over a blouse.

These adorable loafers are very similar to a pair I bought last year and love. Sooo comfortable and I always get compliments!

And here’s a random find – I needed a new small cosmetic bag for my purse and really wanted leather but didn’t want to spend a fortune. This one has arrived and I love everything about it!

Last week’s best sellers: this versatile mule and these gorgeous sling-back pumps.

My husband was out of town last weekend so I got to fully indulge my romantic comedy obsession. Only instead of watching the ones I’ve watched 100 times, I actually tried some I’d never seen.

I managed to see three, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (above), Down with Love and He’s Just Not That Into You. I liked all of them, but Down with Love was great and such a pleasant surprise!

If you’re like me and looking for more romantic comedies, this list has all the best.

When my husband is away, I’m all about the non-cooking cooking, ie; salads. This Curried Chicken Salad is one of my favorites, and easy to throw over greens, and This Steakhouse Salad with Blue Cheese (above) looks amazing!
