Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

It’s finally feeling like fall here and I’m telling you, I’m giddy! I haven’t run the A/C all week and today I had all the windows open and ate lunch outside – my favorite kind of day. Plus, my daughter is here for a visit which always makes my heart happy. 🙂

And now let’s talk about all the fun finds I’m sharing this week!

How charming is this kitchen?! Love the topiaries! See the rest of the home here.

Well,  the house is finally in fall-mode and I’m not mad about it! It feels good to have more texture and some warmer colors making their appearance. If you saw my home tour yesterday, you know that I added some tonal pillows in sage green and faded rust to the family room and I’m loving the look.

I just ordered this cute embroidered pillow to tie it all together, plus it’s so versatile. Wouldn’t it also look perfect on a bed?

A few amazing fall sale finds: I absolutely adore these terracotta pumpkins and this woven outdoor pumpkin is on major sale!

The first thing I can’t wait to break out when fall comes is this fall-scented hand and dish soap from Mrs. Meyer’s. And by the way, the Acorn Spice scent is way better than it sounds! (My husband always says “Acorns have a smell?” lol). I used to buy their Pumpkin Spice soap (which was discontinued), but this is a lovely scent and we use it all season.

This pumpkin scented candle was the second thing I bought for fall and I’ve been burning it non-stop. It smells soo good, plus the container comes in white and green now (in the past they only had orange). A win/win!

I was on a waitlist for this paper mâché bowl and it’s back! It’s a generous size and way less expensive than the vintage versions.

I don’t own a single non-stick pan and have been wanting to get one. The ones I had before were the teflon coated versions and so unhealthy, so I pitched them years ago. I don’t want a whole set, but it would be nice to have a large one for really sticky things like eggs! Have you seen Stanley Tucci’s new ceramic non-stick line for Williams Sonoma? It’s non-toxic, and of course, because he has such great taste, they’re beautiful! Thinking of getting this fry pan (or putting it on the wishlist!) You can see the whole line here.

I just got this little carafe and glass set and I love it! I take a glass of water to my room every night and now I have a pretty set to use. It’s such a small thing but adds a touch of beauty to my day. I’m also going to get one for each of the guest rooms. 🙂

Last week’s best sellers: this faux aspen branch and the new Shea McGee book, The Art of Home.

I’m on a mission to add some new jeans to my closet! These wide-legs are fun and so reasonable (love both the denim and the khaki color above) and I just ordered these cropped flares (love!)

Did you know it’s the 40th Anniversary of J.Crew?! I’m sure by now you know what a fan I am! I think I started shopping J.Crew the first year I was married, and of course, I was around the entire time that Jenna Lyons shaped it and made it what it was today.

Right now they have up to 50% off some of my favorite toppers: I bought this lady jacket in denim (24% off) last spring and get compliments every time I wear it, this puffer peacoat (35% off) is perfect for a day-to-day jacket, something I find hard to find. This sweater blazer (20% off) is a best seller and a shorter version of the long sweater blazer I have and love, and I did end up buying this quilted jacket (40% off) (the LL Bean version I ordered didn’t fit great and this one seems warmer!)

And... they now have a book! It’s a little pricey, but if you are as much of a fan of their old catalogs as I am, it’s a must-have. Those photo shoots were so inspiring, I used to pour over them! Crossing my fingers it goes on sale for Black Friday or something because I’m dying to read it!

And did you hear? Ballet flats are baaack!! And I mean back in a big way – how great is that for us Francophiles?! I adore these cap toe flats, another cap toe option, these are super popular and well-priced, and I’ve heard about this brand for years and they supposedly have the most comfortable pair around, plus they come in dozens of colors!

Last week’s best sellers: this leather bucket bag and this chic black blazer.

The Morning Show is back and I couldn’t be happier! We love this show, and they’ve added dreamy Jon Hamm this season so that’s certainly something to look forward to. 😉

I’m loving the idea of creating a fall themed cocktail for the blog so I’ve been checking out a few around the internet. You know, all in the name of research! 😉

This Bourbon Pumpkin Smash (above) gets great reviews, as does this Pumpkin Patch Margarita, and this Apple Pie Sangria looks so delicious!

A fellow blogging friend did the most amazing kitchen remodel using an antique baker’s table for an island.
