Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Wow, has December flown by or what?! I know we always say that (or maybe that’s just me?) but this year seems especially, ridiculously fast! I have yet to wrap even one gift, but I have done about half of my shopping and my cards, so I guess there’s that!

Before we get into all the goodies this week, I wanted to let you know that next week I’ll be skipping Friday Favorites as it’s three days before Christmas and my kids will all be here by then.

There are still a couple of posts coming early next week and then I’ll be taking some time off to enjoy the holidays with my family. Plus, I figure you’ll all be busy celebrating with your families, too. 😉

But I’ll be back here the following week for the last Friday Favorites of the year, which is always special! That’s when we’ll be talking about all of your favorites, so be sure to stop by then!

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

One last Christmas tour to share with you! Love this cozy home decorated for the season.

Since I know many of you are still looking for gifts, I thought I’d share a few favorites that I’ve been buying or that I already have and love. There are a few more links than usual this week, but I’m only sharing items that will arrive in time for Christmas!

Oh and if you are more organized than me and have done all your shopping, maybe treat yourself to something for all your hard work! 😉

GIFT FOR THE HOME & HOSTESS GIFTS:

This cozy throw is perfect for anyone from a friend, to a teacher to your MIL (and it’s the exact same as the PB one for a fraction of the price)!

This beautiful glass carafe and cup is such a thoughtful gift (and looks lovely in a guest room).

These gorgeous coasters are another gift that’s great for almost anyone (and they’re 30% off right now!)

Something fun and unique? My absolute favorite popcorn popper! We’ve had ours for over 20 years and it’s still going strong! Easy to use, pops well, and is super-fun for kids or grandkids, too.

If you want to give something Christmas-y, you can’t beat these cute mugs (on sale) or a nice candle.

SMALL & FUN TECH ITEMS:

This extra long phone charger was one of my favorite gifts last year. A practical gift that is surprisingly useful, especially if you need to plug in in unfamiliar places where your cord won’t reach (ie; the airport, hotels, etc).

I also love my Apple Air Tags! I was not convinced they were necessary but my husband bought me some before we went to Europe and they’re amazing to have for travel. I put one in my handbag, tote and in every suitcase and always knew where they were. It even alerts you when the items leave your possession! (they’re 20% off now, too!)

I bought this portable bluetooth speaker for each of my kids (it’s waterproof and gets great reviews) and seems perfect for them to take on weekends or to the beach.

And if anyone in your family doesn’t have the Apple Airpods Pro, they are a game-changer! This was another item that was a gift and I have to say, I’m hooked. The noise-cancelling is amazing.

COZY FAVORITES:

These super soft pajamas are on sale and come in dozens of cute patterns.

This robe is sold out everywhere except here! The fabric is so cozy and soft and it comes in several colors.

These cashmere gloves that were in my gift guide (and I love) are now under $35!

My favorite cashmere socks are half off!

FOR THE FASHION LOVER:

This classic crewneck (comes in tons of colors!), as does this essential turtleneck.

This necklace is so pretty and perfect for almost anyone.

Or treat her to makeup! I’m using this new-to-me mascara that I love, and you can’t go wrong with my very favorite eyeshadow palette.

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

Let’s talk holiday wear! We went to a holiday party last weekend and I wore this pleated midi skirt (on sale) with this stunning top in black (above) which I highly recommend – can be dressed up or down and worn with almost anything (looks so good with jeans and a velvet blazer!) The top is also here in many more colors!

I also love velvet skirts for the holidays – this maxi skirt looks so flattering, and this pleated version is gorgeous (both under $100!) And all these midi skirts look gorgeous with a simple sweater like any of the ones above.

And remember when we talked evening bags last week? I ended up keeping this clutch in black – it’s chic and timeless and not tiny which I love, along with this one in the silver. It’s fun at the holidays to have something with a little sparkle and it’s on sale, too!

If you have a dressier event to go to this dress is gorgeous (and 35% off!), this one is so elegant and looks much more expensive than it is, and you can never go wrong with a simple slip dress (on sale)! They’re so easy to dress up, but look equally cute with a cropped jacket and sneakers.

Top it off with a statement earring like this pair or these stunners I bought last month (can you believe that price?!) and one of the cute bags above and you’re set!

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

I kicked off the season for real last weekend with my annual viewing of The Holiday. Can I just say, that movie makes me so happy! Pure bliss. 🙂

If you haven’t seen it, watch this cute interview with Nancy Meyers where she reveals some behind the scenes secrets about The Holiday.

And now you have to read 19 Behind the Scenes Facts About The Holiday (love this so much!)

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

It’s holiday cocktail time! I’m sharing a new one this weekend, but in the meantime these delicious Pomegranate Cosmopolitans are perfect for any gathering, easy to make and they look gorgeous!

Do you bake for the holidays? Most years I do, whether I’m going to a cookie exchange or making homemade treats for neighbors. One of my favorite cookies to bring or give are these Chocolate Peppermint Crunch Cookies.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

No one does Christmas as beautifully as my friend Courtney of French Country Cottage. And she also has a Christmas book (it’s gorgeous and makes a great gift, too!)
