Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Here we are halfway through January already, can you believe it?! Not only have I organized much of the house, but this week we made a plan to finally do something about our laundry area! 🙂 (If you need some inspiration on organizing, I shared my 10 Tips for Keeping Your Home Organized All Year here).

Our laundry area is in the garage and is incredibly inefficient. It’s crowded with other storage and there’s no room to fold clothing, much less iron. So… I convinced my husband that we should put all the Christmas decor in storage so that we can gain some much-needed space to outfit a proper laundry area. I’m so excited – can’t wait to get started and share with you all!

And now let’s talk Friday Favorites!

Love this beautiful remodel – you have to check out the custom dog bath!

I must be on quite the artwork kick because I keep finding ones that really speak to me! This framed print is so lovely (and exclusive so you know not everyone else will have it) and this Target one is stunning and sure to sell out! I picked it up in store and can’t wait to find a home for it – the colors and the frame are so good.

And have you seen this adorable travel photo art? I’m debating getting it, or I may use it as my inspiration and create something similar. I love the oversized matting and the ‘tape’ idea!

Another fab Target find is this block print pillow. Love the style and the price (comes in 2 colors – I got it in green). And because there’s a zipper, I just change out the poly-fill insert for down.

If you need a little side table, this little gold one is so chic and the price is amazing!

I’m in love with textural, earthy vases and am always on the lookout for new ones: this concrete-look vase is stunning and this white terracotta vase is a steal!

I’ve been eyeing these gorgeous brass candleholders for months now and they’re finally on sale! (5* reviews, plus they come in two sizes.)

Plus one of my favorite design books, The Art of Home by Shea McGee, is now half off!

Last week’s best sellers were this handcrafted ceramic tray (love!) and this pretty still-life artwork (second week in a row!)

For winter I love black jeans, this is the perfect straight-leg style, and I also love this cropped wide-leg.

And I’m in love with these super-chic sailor jeans (above)! Love the dark rinse and the gold buttons, plus they look super flattering.

I’m a huge fan of cable-knit and this timeless cardigan is so pretty, plus it’s finally on sale!

Love the unique style of this wool-blend cropped jacket – it would be a great everyday jacket and it’s now 60% off the sale price!

I’ve finally found the perfect mascara! I’ve seriously tried everything out there and I’m never that impressed. Until now. Love this one so much!

If you’re looking for an everyday sweater that’s 100% wool and doesn’t cost a lot, these get great reviews and come in lots of colors.

I’ve been seeing this on-trend scarf jacket all over social media! So cute!

Last week’s best sellers: this gorgeous blazer and this half-zip workout top.

You guys, we are so out of shows! I know we haven’t seen everything by a long shot, but somehow it feels like we have?! Lately I’ve been thinking of watching some popular and/or well-reviewed shows that we’ve never seen for one reason or another.

On my list are The Tourist, True Detective: Night Country, The Last of Us (above), and Silo. Tonight we’re going to try either The Tourist or The Last of Us, but I’d love to hear if any of you have seen any of these or what you thought. Or let me know others we might have missed!

I’ve always wanted to try this Magic One-Pan Pasta ever since I saw it last year. After all, who doesn’t love an easy, delicious one-pan dinner, especially on a weeknight?!

  1. Great shows that I highly recommend:
    Miss Scarlet and the Duke
    Slow Horses
Berlin (like Money Heist or Casa de Papel if you watched with original title)

  2. Barbara Archer says:

Happy New Year, Sheila! I continue to enjoy your blog!

With regard to something new to watch have you seen Fool Me Once? It’s streaming on Netflix and was recommended to us by our daughter. It was very good!

    1. Hi Barbara! That’s so funny – another reader DMd me on Instagram to recommend the same show! I guess I’ll have to try it!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!
