Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

How is everyone this week? Over here has been a week full of rain, and cold, and lots of garage work, haha! We’ve started the process of planning our new laundry area and the first step was clearing everything out. I donated tons, reorganized all my seasonal decor, and it’s now safely deposited in storage – freeing up lots of space to work with! Yay!

This weekend we’ll be at Ikea trying to figure out our storage needs, and then hopefully in a few weeks, I’ll be sharing!

In the meantime, I’m sharing lots of fun finds this week, so let’s talk Friday Favorites!

One of my favorite designers, Jenny Martin, just released a new project. I’m in love with the kitchen! 🙂

I realized I forgot to share with you the cute upholstered chairs we added to the breakfast room! Because we only had four chairs, we were frequently dragging in chairs from the formal dining room, so it was time. I had seen them on Instagram and decided to go for it, and we love them! And of course the price is right – highly recommend!

Along the lines of improving the small things, I decided to spruce up the kid’s (now, extra) bathroom. Do you ever notice something that looks really bad and wonder why you hadn’t noticed it before?? Their shower curtain had seen better days and the rings and rod were starting to show some rust. I ordered this pretty shower curtain and added a new curtain rod and rings. You can do either 78″ or 84″ (both longer than the typical shower curtain). It looks so much better, and the long length really elevates the space!

And while I was at it, I got some new bathroom accessories. I’ve been looking for marble but everything I ever find has horrible reviews. But I finally found this gorgeous marble tissue box holder and soap pump. They both get great reviews and they’re on sale, too!

I’ve also been inspired to bring a little Valentine’s decor in. I don’t go too crazy, but a touch of it is certainly a happy thing during these long, cold winter days! I like to add some cheer to the kitchen with these cute heart mugs or this pretty marble cheese board.

Or how amazing is this heart objet d’art or these artisan heart beads to display in a bowl?! Either could definitely be around for much longer than February!

I also adore candles, and this gorgeous rose-scented candle smells amazing, and the pretty vessel brings that touch of pink anywhere you put it.

And one of my favorite things to do for Valentine’s Day is to display a fun doormat like this adorable one!

I’m a big fan of pink, and it seems especially pretty in the doldrums of February (bonus: it makes almost everyone’s complexion look prettier!) I love the color of this mockneck (20% off – above), or try a more subdued color palette with this pretty polo-style sweater (30% off) I just ordered, or this henley sweater which I just adore!

This stunning pink blouse (comes in other colors, too) would be great for Valentine’s night or any night!

Or, wear your heart on your sleeve with these cute pajamas, this adorable sweatshirt, or this impossibly cute sweater for your dog!! (Dying – so wish it fit Hudson!)

Looking for a  gift for a daughter, mother or sister (or yourself)? This heart pendant necklace is absolutely stunning – and something I’d wear everyday!

We’ve been busy catching up on movies! We watched the Golden Globes a couple weeks back and that got me excited to see all the ones we hadn’t yet seen. So far we’ve seen Maestro, Boys in the Boat, and Past Lives and all three were really good. If you haven’t seen Maestro, Bradley Cooper’s performance is amazing!

Big on my list still is Killers of the Flower Moon!

My lemon trees are going crazy these days, so I’ve been trying to use them up. This Lemoniest Lemon Pound Cake (above) is a family favorite and soo good!

My husband loves this Linguine with Shrimp Scampi (easy but dinner party worthy!), and this Chicken Piccata is also easy and delicious.

I also made a delicious Lemon Cheesecake last year that is to die for!

This blogger and her husband completely redid this fixer themselves – and now you can rent it on Air BnB!
