Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Happy March everyone!

It’s such a weird time of year isn’t it? We’re dreaming of spring, yet some of us are still in the throes of winter. We’ve had rain, sun, and more rain, and some really cold days (for California anyway!) But, I have to say, it’s spring inside my head. I’m counting the days!

So this week I’m sharing some spring and Easter favorites, as well as some ‘in-between’ things that will help bridge the time until warm weather is really here!

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

Love this pretty kitchen! See the rest of the home here (be sure to check out the backyard, too!)

This handwoven wicker bowl and tiered stand are perfect for the kitchen and now half off!

These adorable fluted glasses will update any spring table (and they’re so chic for that price!)

I’m loving anything scalloped these days and this jute rug could not be any cuter.

If you celebrate Easter (or just love bunnies like me!) these stone-look ones are adorable, as are these bunny sculptures (I have both and display them all season).

Or add Easter cheer to the porch with a cute doormat like this one or this one!

Now that it’s almost spring, I like to lighten up our bedding. I’ve wanted to try linen sheets for years, but the high price has always stopped me. But these European linen sheets are so reasonable and people rave!  I’m also ordering this cotton waffle blanket (it’s a dupe of the pricey Boll & Branch version). Can’t wait to get both!

Last week’s best sellers: this pretty print pillow and these gorgeous wicker planters (still on sale).

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

One of my favorite staples for spring are short-sleeve sweaters. To be honest, that’s a new thing for me as I’m pretty sure I once said I didn’t understand them, haha! But now I really like them for those cool spring days. They’re perfect because they keep your core warm without overheating, and they work great with a light jacket.

This t-shirt sweater comes in 6 pretty shades (love the lilac and the green), I adore this striped cashmere version, and I just ordered this tipped polo (love!)

Do you have any spring weddings to go to? We are headed to one in May so I’ve been looking for a dress. I’m eyeing this blue lace one, I also really like this pretty floral (above) (plus, it’s a great price and could be worn more afterwards), and this one is stunning – I love the pattern!

I’ve been looking for a neutral bag for spring and just ordered this one. I met a friend for lunch and she was carrying it and I fell in love! The size is perfect and I love the ecru color.

Found more of my favorite slingback style flats! This gold pair would be a great neutral with whites for spring and summer, and I love this one (especially the silver and the yellow!)

Last week’s best sellers: this raffia slingback flat and these trendy relaxed leg jeans

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

I’ve been hearing lots about Expats, the new show starring Nicole Kidman. We haven’t watched it yet, but it looks really good, plus she’s always great!

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

I’m a lemon lover, and I also love cheesecake, so this Lemon Cheesecake is definitely a favorite. It’s lighter than most other cheesecakes and super easy (you don’t even need a mixer!)

Plus, it’s perfect for Easter or Passover! You can get the printable recipe here.

I also love this Lemony Poundcake – a definite family favorite!

  1. LOVE your beautiful and charming site – one of my absolute favourites! Where did you get the chic fluted glasses? I searched through 35 pages of the link (Walmart) with no luck. Did I miss them?
Thank you for your inspirations in all areas of home, style and design!

    1. Aww thank you Judith – I so appreciate that! and the glasses are Walmart – the link in the post should have taken you straight to them! Here it is again:

Let me know if you have a problem! Thanks for stopping by.

      1. Thanks so much for your reply Sheila. The link you sent me for the beautiful fluted glasses at Walmart indicates “This page could not be found”. Could that be because I am in Canada and the site is walmart.ca?

        1. Oh wow, yes, I’m sure that’s the issue. Try searching on Walmart in the search bar with the name: Beautiful Scallop Set of 4 Glass Goblet Clear by Drew Barrymore

They are part of the Drew Barrymore Beautiful line so you should be able to find them that way. Good luck!

  2. Debbie Laferla says:

Your Friday post is so timely! I was searching for replacements for broken Mikasa French Countryside goblets. They are no longer being made, and therefore are very expensive. Your Friday Favorite goblets are a perfect knockoff, new and less expensive! I just ordered 12 through your link! I will get them tomorrow!

    1. Wow I love hearing that Debbie, yay!! I think those are so cute – hope you love them! 🙂

      Happy Friday!
