Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

I’ve been busy planning some spring decor for the blog. Except my new idea of having my seasonal decor in storage has thrown me off my game, haha! I love that we have more space now, but it’s taking some getting used to to actually remember to go and get the stuff! So fingers crossed I’ll have it together next week. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Coming up this weekend we’ll be having our annual Oscars gathering which I always look forward to. We’ll be having a few friends over, eating, drinking, and casting our ballots (there are prizes!) Now let’s just hope the show is great and there are fabulous dresses to see!

Now let’s talk Friday Favorites!

This home from the Utah Parade of Homes is utterly amazing! Lots of pics of the gorgeous kitchen, but also an amazing laundry room, butler’s pantry, and more.

I have to say that Amazon has really upped their game when it comes to furniture. This rattan coffee table is such a great find! Great reviews and hidden storage, too.

If you caught my post all about new design trends, we talked about fluting and how it’s big for 2024. That sent me looking for some beautiful ribbed glass finds: this green glass vase is stunning and looks much more expensive than it is (perfect for spring) and this fluted glass hurricane has been on my wish list for awhile now. Classic, elegant, and perfect for entertaining as well as everyday (comes in 3 sizes).

Beautiful neutral, textured accessories? Yes, please! I saw this weathered vase/jug in store at PB last weekend when I was out shopping with my son and I fell in love! I don’t know how I missed it on the site, but it’s so good. Has the most beautiful finish and I love that it looks like an antique.

More adorable Easter finds! I’m totally smitten with this bunny stoneware serving bowl, and these gold decorative ones are so cute, or get this one to add to your porch or yard for the season!

I also get questions every year about where I’ve gotten my alabaster and marble eggs. I have some vintage ones from Etsy, but I also have and love this set. So, so pretty. I get compliments on them all the time!

These blue and white toile eggs are also pretty and so unique!

Last week’s best sellers: these pretty fluted glasses and this adorable bunny doormat.

I love an outfit with a pop of red! (I even wrote a blog post about it years ago) To me, that touch of red feels very French. I love how they pair neutral outfits or jeans and a white tee with a splash of color, like above. And this year it’s hotter than ever! (see this article about French fashion trends).

With that in mind, I went hunting for that little punch of color. Probably my favorite way to wear red is in accessories, like a bag or a shoe. This handbag is the most perfect shade of red, I adore this simple ballet flat and this pretty loafer (they’re cute in the silver too, which is on sale).

For more of a splash, this tie-neck top is so cute (and has sold out twice already this year!), I can’t get enough of this adorable striped sweater, and this slip skirt (40% off) I have and love in black was just released in red.

Remember the cute sailor trouser jeans I shared a few weeks back? They now come in the prettiest faded wash – Love! (plus it would look great with red!)

Random-not-red find: this striped hoodie (50% off) just screams spring/summer to me. Slouchy chic, and perfect with jeans walking on the beach, over a swimsuit with shorts, you name it.

Last week’s best sellers: this pretty lace dress and this cool relaxed-leg jean.

It’s Oscar time! If you’ve been here awhile then you know we’re huge movie buffs, and since I also love fashion, the Oscars is like my favorite night of television! (My husband calls it my ‘super bowl,’ haha!)

Right now we’ve seen 8 of the 10 best picture nominees, and I don’t know that we’ll get to another (maybe tonight?) The only two we haven’t seen are Zone of Interest and American Fiction (which I’m actually dying to see). So far my two favorites of the year are definitely Oppenheimer (above) and Killers of the Flower Moon. I have to say, after a few dud years with not a lot of great films, it was great to see such a good roundup!

After a cold winter full of rain and comfort food, Iโ€™m eager to start eating a little lighter and healthier. This Ginger Orange Chicken Salad (above) looks amazing, as does this Salmon with Herb Mustard Glaze.

Love the green cabinets in this mudroom from Alma Homes
