Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, movies, podcasts, fashion finds and more! And though it won’t all be French, some of it definitely will!

We’re back from our time in the PNW last weekend, and wow, was it gorgeous!! The fall colors were so beautiful and inspiring, it really made me wish we got more real fall weather. Here I just have to settle for a rare day in the low 70s and burning my Pumpkin Soufflé candle, haha! 😉

Friday Favorites is where I share everything from a great decor find, to a favorite movie, recipe, or podcast, to a wonderful thing to wear – anything that strikes me as interesting or fun or that you might love, too!

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

I love everything Marie Flanigan does, but this space really has my heart! And did I mention she also has a stunning coffee table book? It’s one of my all-time favorites (and it makes a great gift, too!)

You guys loved when I shared the most requested items from my home last week, so I’m following up with a few more from some other rooms! In the dining room, you frequently ask about the table and chairs (there is definitely a theme here I think!) My end chairs are these, but these are similar at a great price. This table is the most similar to mine, and my side chairs are vintage but these are Swedish style and give the look (I think I like them more than mine)!

The two other favorites are my rustic French country chandeliers from both dining rooms. My formal dining has this one and it’s a steal for the size, and my kitchen dining area chandelier is discontinued, but I love this one and this one which are super similar (and less!)

On another note, I ordered these pillows in the Tobacco brown for the sofas in the family room for fall. After receiving them and seeing how great they are for the price, I’m even thinking of getting them in multiple colors for every room! 😉

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

I’m all about the perfect casual fall outfit right now! On a typical weekend you’ll usually find me wearing a cozy flannel shirt (this one has such a great drape and look, love the colors in this one and this one), my favorite lightweight utility jacket (I have this one, but I also love this one, this one, and this one), faded jeans (these are the perfect straight jean, love the distressing on these, and these are a great price), and comfy booties (love that these are low but still cute, these too and these have an adorable tassel).

After years of using foundation, I switched to a tinted moisturizer and I love it! It’s so much lighter, but still gives plenty of coverage for everyday.

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

It always seems like fall has the best movies, and last year was a little light so I’m really excited for this year! Two that are on my radar are The Last Duel with Matt Damon and Red Notice with Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot.

I’m also hearing great things about the shows Maid and The Shrink Next Door (this was also a podcast that I loved!) Have you guys watched either? I’m hoping to start one next week!

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

Shall we talk vegetables? I really love them now but I admit, that wasn’t always the case. But once I discovered roasting them, it was life-changing. My favorites are this roasted cauliflower and these roasted winter veggies

I also shared three yummy recipes last week in my Fall Harvest Dinner Party that are perfect for a party or for any week night. This Fall Harvest Salad, this Winter Squash Soup, and these Pork Chops with Maple Apples are all delicious and so easy!

  1. Beautiful! Where is that bathroom from?

    1. Hi Aimee! It’s linked below the bedroom photo (part of the tour by Marie Flanigan). Hope that helps!
