Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Oh boy is it hot here! I know, I know, I wished for it. And even when I was wishing for it I had a feeling I might regret it, haha! Is it hot where you guys are too? My youngest is in Seattle and even he is sweltering!
But, at least I’m finally wearing my tank tops and summery dresses so I guess there’s that! This weekend we’re heading to a concert in the park, one of my favorite summer activities. Time to wear one of those dresses, right? 😉
And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites and all the fun things I’ve got to share this week!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

I first discovered this charming English country-inspired home on Instagram – I’m smitten!
The French country style mirror I have in the living room was one of the best deals ever, so I was bummed when they discontinued it. Except now it’s back!! This mirror gives a classic French look and is under $80 – perfect for a bathroom or bedroom.
As I’m sure you’ve realized by now, I’m a sucker for a good basket! I especially love unique shapes and this stunning handled basket is so cute! It could hold magazines, easily gather vegetables in the garden, or sit on the kitchen counter holding essentials!
I’ve been really wanting to add a console table to our outdoor dining area. I’ve been looking for awhile now and this week found this outdoor console table that is stunning – and that price! I also think adding a bar cart could work – something like this wood bar cart is cute and not expensive.
I’m still looking for a large planter for the front porch and recently came across a beautiful Anduze pot. I’m not a huge fan of the shiny versions, but this new matte color is so stunning (and on sale)! They’re calling it terracotta but really it’s a pale neutral. If it’s big enough, I’m thinking it would look great against our black front doors!
We’ve been doing some summer entertaining and though I’m pretty well stocked, I really wanted some new napkins and fell in love with these pretty block print ones (they’re on clearance now, too!) Love how cheerful they are!
And a friend recently served us on these cute melamine dishes! Love!
If you’re looking for a bench at the foot of a bed or in an entry that channels Nancy Meyers, this wicker one is perfection (and on sale!)
Favorite Amazon finds this week: this very simple but very useful car change organizer and if you have a Dyson (or buy the one I speak about below), you have to get this amazing Dyson accessory holder!
Last week’s best sellers: this stunning Parisian-style kitchen island and this pretty floral pillow.
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

Hate to admit this, but I was anti-Birkenstock until about last year, haha! I’m a convert now – they’re great with jeans and shorts, and such an easy throw-it-on-shoe for summer. If you have an aversion like I did, I think this pair is a great intro. They’ve got a slight platform and are more stylish (if they don’t have your size, they’re available here, too).
When we went to see fireworks on July 4th, it was fairly cool outside and I realized I had absolutely no summer weight cardigan to throw on. I’ve amended that problem with this gorgeous cable knit! (25% off)
Get that Celine look with these popular dupes! They’re super cute with great reviews and come in tons of colors.
Not sure if I’ve ever shared my favorite self-tanner on here! I use this mousse formula in the medium, and apply it with this mitt (essential for not staining the palms of your hands). It is very natural looking and never streaks!
And if you missed it, earlier this week I shared a post with all of my favorites from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which is the first time I’ve done that in quite a few years. To be honest, I thought the sale had gone downhill somewhat, but this year’s sale was definitely better! (Note: to shop now you do need a Nordstrom card. If you don’t have one, it’s often worth it to open one. Or, you can create a ‘wish list’ on their site and then easily shop the sale when it opens to the public on July 15th).
Here’s what I bought and/or what I loved and is still available:
Every year, coats and jackets are one of the absolute best departments in the sale! I ordered this patch-pocket short coat (perfect for everyday), and this double-breasted wool-blend coat (above) which is timeless and a great price.
Another favorite department to scope out is shoes and boots as there are great pieces every year!
I have the bootie version of this waterproof knee high boot and love them so I was excited to get the tall boot at a reduced price (they’re truly waterproof!) I also ordered this adorable tasseled loafer in the ivory, and I’m super excited to get these loafer mules in the black/white combo! (I also really love both the black and the silver but I’m holding off until I see how much I keep!)
Almost every jean and pant I recommended is sold out, sadly, but I do love a black jean for fall and this pair from Mother is super cute and still available.
And in the weird-but-good department, they are selling a Dyson vacuum this year! The Dyson V15 is the updated version of our vacuum that we love, and is over $200 off – an amazing deal! I know Prime Day is next week, but if you’re in the market I would scoop this one up. If the Amazon price ends up being lower, you could always return it!
Last week’s best sellers: this casual linen jacket and this chic maxi popover dress.
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

I’ve been reading a new book titled The Women. Have you heard of it? Two different friends recommended it and I’m loving it!
I’m trying to be good about looking for my next book ahead of time, instead of waiting and then ending up with weeks with no book! In the thriller genre, I’ve heard good things about Kill for Me, Kill for You and also The Midnight Feast, by Lisa Foley who wrote The Guest List which I liked.

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

Well since July is National Ice Cream Month, I’m obligated to share, right?! 😉
We love this Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato (above) as well as this Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream.
