Oh boy what a week! It’s been so hot here, my poor mom is sick, and now my husband has come home from being out of town and has Covid! When it rains it pours right?!

But in other much happier news, we have a winner! Kathleen Coppola is the winner of the $100 giveaway from last week! It was so lovely to hear from so many of you, and also so helpful to know what you like and don’t like here! 

And now, today I’m talking summer-ish things, fun finds I’m loving, and favorites you’ve had over the last few weeks!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

This charming breakfast area is my favorite part of this home, but there are many pretty spaces to savor!

 

I’m sooo wanting some new throw pillows! I feel like I sort of started but never finished with our two living areas so I’m on the hunt. 

Loving this gorgeous neutral floral (comes in green, too!), and these viral linen pillow covers from Amazon are a steal (great reviews, too!)

A friend showed me these charming scalloped baskets from Amazon this week. They’re a dupe for the Serena & Lily ones, although they are smaller. Still, this is a set of 2 for under $90 and the S&L version is $300 for just one! 

This glass lamp is stylish and such a good price!

How adorable is this wicker pitcher? So unique – I’m smitten! 

You may remember when I bought this large weathered vase from PB (it was new this spring). Well, now they have more sizes (I’m thinking of getting the medium). They’re so good – the finish is fabulous and looks like a found object!

A beautiful fluted travertine tray for under $30? Yes, please!

Still looking for an outdoor rug? This one might be the prettiest one I’ve ever seen!

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

One item I’m loving for summer are the ‘tent’ dresses that are so in! Of course, they aren’t really a tent (they’re much more flattering than that!) but they are super flowy and loose making them very comfortable for these super hot days. This viral Amazon one (still on sale from Prime Day!) is an almost exact dupe for the pricey Jenny Kayne Summer Dress. And J.Crew has a really cute, similar version (above) that I’m dying to try (so cute in the polka dot!)

Needing some summery tops? Me too! This pretty little blouse is one of my favorite purchases, also love this smocked top that comes in lots of colors, this eyelet top (25% off) is perfection, and though I often gravitate towards white tops in summer there is something so gorgeous about the pattern of this black top!

I’ve shared my love for the Collette jeans many times, but did you know they make both an adorable cotton pant and a linen pant in the same, flattering style? They’re both lightweight and perfect for summer, plus they come in lots of color options.

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

There’s just something about seeing a summer blockbuster in an air-conditioned theater on a hot day! I’m looking forward to seeing Twisters which I’ve heard really good things about!

(Plus, it’s got Glen Powell who I loved in Top Gun 2 and Hit Man!)

 

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

I’ve been looking for some new recipes and found this yummy Crispy BBQ Salmon Bowl with Roasted Jalapeño Peach Salsa. She has you baking it, but I’m thinking it could easily be done on the grill which equals no hot oven on a hot day and easier clean up!

And just because it’s summer, How to Make – and Drink – an Aperol Spritz Like an Italian. 😉
