Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Have you done any spring cleaning or organizing? I have done none! Hoping to get a chance this weekend to clean out the pantry and my closet. I need to do a good clean out to see what I have and what I might need. Though I don’t love doing it, it sure feels good when it’s done!
My other weekend plans include finally going to the nursery and getting new bedding plants and flowers for the garden. I also need to clean up the pots on my patio and porch – spring is here!
And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites (including some of your favorites!)

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

This charming English country kitchen incorporates so many of the design trends predicted for 2025 (and the ones I love!)
Last spring I was eyeing a faux potted lemon topiary for the kitchen but they sold out before I could get it. Well I just saw that they’re back – and they’re oh-so-cute! (there’s an orange topiary as well!)
Looking for a rustic terracotta vase that doesn’t break the bank? This one is on sale for under $40 and it’s gorgeous (and quite large!) A definite score.
Every year when I break out my iron egg holder I always get questions about where I got it. Mine was a vintage find, but I just found this adorable version that looks just like mine (and it comes in 2 sizes, too!) I love bringing it out come springtime.
I’ve been collecting marble eggs for years, but I’ve also mixed them with these gorgeous new ones. The colors are stunning and the price is much more reasonable than the vintage ones! They look so pretty mounded in a bowl.
I love adding lighter scented candles to my home in spring and summer, and this Belgian Linen scent is a recent favorite. Another new find I love is this scent. It also comes in a smaller size so you can try it without spending a lot!
One of my favorite home items ever, this little glass honey pot could not be any cuter and it makes a great gift!
And can we talk your favorites?? Over the last few weeks the number one seller has been these dusty plum stems (I have them and love them!)
You’ve also loved this scalloped sconce, these French glazed vases (love!), these fab rattan vases (on clearance!), and this on-trend bookcase.
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

A trend I’m loving right now are the white cotton midi-skirts – they’re literally everywhere and at every price point! They’re cottony and light, and look great with tees, tanks, or sweaters. This one looks flattering (25% off), as does this one, this one is a slightly slimmer style, and this one is a steal at under $50! These usually only come in white but I’d also love a black one!
This cute cotton dress gives a similar look in dress form!
And this pretty floral dress could work for anything from brunch, to a graduation, to a shower, to a garden wedding.
I love the look of a linen tank for warm weather dressing – just found this one and I’m also loving this linen sweater tank – so chic! (Both 40% off now!)
This pointelle sweater (50% off) is so pretty and perfect for spring.
And your fashion favorites recently have been: this gingham blazer was the number one seller of the month!
You’ve also loved this summery cotton sweater (50% off now!), this unique print blouse, this stunning maxi dress (perfect for vacation), and this linen vest (just bought!)
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

For a person who loves design, I had yet to find a design focused podcast that I liked. Until now. I recently started listening to two that I think are really good – the first is called Dear Alice and is hosted by Alice Lane Interiors, two designers I follow on Instagram. The second one, called Talk Shop with Ariel Okin, is hosted by a designer I had never heard of but she has great designer guests on the show!
It’s really nice to listen to these as a break from my (often) darker true crime type podcasts – and they’re both really fun and informative!
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

This time of year is always so strange when it comes to cooking. One day it’s warm and we’re grilling and ready for summer, and then it’s cold and I’m making soup the next!
A couple recipes that are easy and bridge the difference are this twist on Chicken Piccata (above) and this slightly different but soo delicious Chicken Marsala. Both are family favorites!

Hi Sheila – I know you love to hear about new shows. Wanted to recommend a new Netflix series – just 6 episodes – The Leopard. It’s Italian, set in beautiful Sicily in the 1860’s. It’s a cross between Les Miserables and Gone With the Wind. The costumes are fabulous as well. You might really enjoy it!
Yes and yay! Thank you Patricia – sounds like it’s right up my alley! 😉
Thanks for sharing and happy Friday!
