Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Oh boy, things are getting busy! From purging and packing to trying to sell all the things, I’m feeling pretty crazed with getting ready for the move. But, hopefully this will make our move easier and we’ll be more organized when we finally land there!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

This new build is full of English country charm – love!

Ballard Designs is one of my absolute favorite stores and they’re having their big Friends and Family sale this weekend! You guys, my breakfast room French café chairs are now less than I paid 6 years ago (plus free shipping!)

A few other favorites: this scalloped dining table is charming, this wall cabinet would look great in a bathroom, I’d love this arched cabinet in the new house, and I’m crushing on these adorable blue and white bowls and mugs in the Bunny Williams line. They definitely channel that Nancy Meyers/Mark D. Sikes vibes (in fact, he has them in his kitchen!)

And have you seen this line of woven serveware at Target?? Soo cute and look much more expensive than they are! Love the ice bucket and the adorable wine carrier. 

This diamond jute doormat is on sale at PB and I’m in love!

Two of my favorite Amazon finds: these cotton tear-off cocktail napkins come in a roll of 50 for a steal, and you can wash and reuse! Love this idea so much – can’t wait to use them for summer entertaining! Also, I’m using these plug-in fly traps in the kitchen and family room. I love that they are low-profile, non-toxic, and super effective.

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

Random fun finds this week!

Love this crochet tee for summer and it’s currently on sale, and this textured knit tee is such a great find. I bought it last year in white and just ordered the beige (20% off now) – it will be so cute with white jeans!

Speaking of white jeans, this wide-leg style is flattering and half off!, these kick out jeans (above) are a favorite (30% off), and I love a trouser jean (30% off)!

Ann Taylor consistently does great shoes at reasonable prices. I love these chocolate suede slides – so good and 40% off! For more of a splurge, I love this similar pair.

I guess I’m loving brown this summer because this dress is really speaking to me! The color is so gorgeous and would be great with a tan (or fake tan, actually!) (also here at 10% off)

I meant to share this packable straw tote awhile ago but forgot! It’s soo chic, and I love that it’s big enough to be a carry-on, a beach bag, and more. As one reviewer says, “run don’t walk on this one!”

I’ve been looking for a lightweight lip gloss or balm with a little color and a lot of SPF because my former favorite no longer has SPF in it! This gloss was recommended to me and I’m excited to try it!

And this hair mask came highly recommended by a friend. It’s a leave-in product that repairs your hair at the molecular level, and I have to say, I’ve seen a difference! Less frizz and dryness already.

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

Have you heard of Sirens? We’ve only watched one of the five episodes but I’m hooked! It has a similar story line to The Perfect Couple, but it’s way, way better!

Also it has Kevin Bacon and I rarely see his work but love him. It’s campy and indulgent, or as my husband would say, “it’s a bon bon!”

 

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

My son and his girlfriend made these Chipotle Salmon Tacos with Pineapple Salsa (above) and served them with this Mexican Street Corn for us last summer and they are in heavy rotation during summer. I especially love the street corn – so good!

I’m hoping to get some new salmon recipes and eyeing this Spicy Chipotle Salmon Bowl, as well as this Grilled Salmon with Orzo and Feta.
