Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

I hope you all enjoyed a lovely holiday last weekend! I’m still adjusting to being in a new place while trying to also make some decisions about the house. Though our rental is nice and the area is gorgeous, it turns out it’s about a 45 minute drive to the new house so that has really added time to each day. I only finished unpacking yesterday!

I’ve been meaning to share some pics and videos on Instagram but I’ve been so busy, I keep forgetting!

And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites! This week is all about big sales!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

I just adore this warm and pretty kitchen from AKB Design.

If you’re looking for outdoor furniture, this stone-look outdoor coffee table is now 70% off! Matching outdoor console table here – these are such a great deal!

I’m completely smitten with these French-style wire urn planters – and they’re priced well, too.

Love the European-inspired style of this teak and limestone outdoor table (now 30% off!)

Very tempted to get this charming ‘Bonjour’ doormat for our side door (on sale for30% off!)

I get lots of questions about the weathered ceramic bowl in our family room, and now it’s back in stock and 20% off (I’ve never seen it on sale before!)

And a few fab Amazon Prime sale finds I’m loving: my Boos cutting board that I love is now 30% off (I’ve never seen it this low!) These are a splurge but 100% worth it – they make cooking a pleasure! And if you’ve ever wanted a Vitamix, now’s the time! The model I have and love is currently 40% off! Our scalloped everyday dishes that I love are now 30% off (thinking of getting more pieces!)

Last week’s best sellers: these pretty blue & white dishes and my fave sheets (still on sale!)

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started earlier this week, and though I couldn’t buy until yesterday, I’ve been scoping out items all week!  (Note: to shop now you do need a Nordstrom card. If you don’t have one, it’s often worth it to open one. Or, you can wait until the sale opens to the public tomorrow, July 12).

Every year the coats are one of the best deals (and sell out the soonest!) I ordered this chic cropped leather jacket (above) which looks way more expensive than it is! Also love this stylish hooded trench that’s weather resistant (many aren’t!), and whether you do black or dark camel, you can’t go wrong with this classic wool coat.

I own these cute cropped, frayed jeans and love them and this coated jean is such a fun piece for going out (love the chocolate color, too!)

Shoes and boots sell out super fast, too. Love these classic penny loafers, this suede loafer in the tan is such a great neutral (and under $70!), and this well-priced bootie is a great basic – and I find this brand super comfy!

And two of the very best finds of the whole sale are the Away luggage larger carry-on I own and love, and the Dyson 15 cordless vacuum! (this price is better than Amazon Prime!!)

Shop the entire sale here!

I also wanted to share just a couple favorites from the Amazon Prime sale that I love to stock up on! This lip mask is my absolute favorite and it’s 30% off right now. Also, the name is so misleading. It’s not really a mask, just a super hydrating lip treatment. I love to use it overnight! I own and love these tank tops which are now 50% off – they’re good basics for walks or workouts, but look equally great going out.

Last week’s best sellers: these gorgeous booties (on sale) and this versatile linen pant.

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

At the rental we’re staying in I’m struggling with the TV choices, haha. Either it doesn’t have a channel I want to watch or I’m unable to sign in. But, I do get Amazon Prime and just started The Better Sister which I’m enjoying.

It’s a murder mystery involving two estranged sisters with some twisty secrets. Juicy fun!

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

It’s peach season! One of my favorite parts of summer is when peaches and nectarines start appearing and I’m always looking for more ways to use them. This  looks so yummy, as does this Three Cheese Prosciutto Peach Pizza. Can’t wait to try them both!

  1. Sheila, you deserve some down time after your move! Moving seems to deplete every last bit of energy you have! Thanks for taking the time to share these FF finds. There are some incredible deals going on right now! I’ve been shopping ahead for Christmas already! I really like that darker camel wool coat. It’s a much more versatile color, in my opinion, than the typical light camel. Speaking of neutrals that home is gorgeous! Every room has inspiration. I kept taking screen shots on my phone! I splurged in my kitchen with a Devol bridge faucet. While it isnt practical in several ways, it’s so charming, and adds so much to the look!
If you are in the market, in the future, for cabinet hardware, shelf brackets etc. a place called Yester Home (yesterhome.com) has charming solid brass hardware in many finishes, even unlaquered brass, for very reasonable prices. They are based out of the UK. I just bought shelf brackets for a backsplash shelf. It may take a bit of time to receive them though so plan according. Have fun designing your new home! We can’t wait to see the plans for your new space!

    1. Ooh I love the Devol bridge faucet – I’m considering it for my own kitchen! 🙂

And sadly, there is no down time over here, haha. I’m rushing and trying to get everything done in 2 months and that’s proving to be harder than expected. Plus we now need to replace the entire kitchen (which wasn’t originally in the plan) and of course the budget has gone up!

Thanks so much for always commenting and all of your kind words. I love hearing from you!

      1. Home projects always seem to take longer and are more expensive than planned, but you somehow, in time, that all fades away as you are thoroughly enjoying your new space! Hang in there!

        1. Oh let’s hope that’s the case JC! (My husband is definitely not thrilled, haha!)
