Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Some things are happening at the new house this week after a bit of a lull. The kitchen was completely demolished, electrical and drywall are finishing up, and the kitchen cabinets are starting!!
After some back and forth the drawings were all approved and we’re on our way to a new kitchen. It’s been exciting but also stressful, but I know things will settle down soon and I’ll be so glad we did it!
This week I’m sharing random finds and best sellers – with lots of summer and a tiny bit of early fall thrown in!
Welcome to August!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

Who wouldn’t want to spend the summer in this beachy cottage in South Carolina?
This week I stumbled on a new-to-me decor source that I’m excited to share with you! This online store is called Luxe B Company and it has such cute things. This marble fluted jar would be so cute in a kitchen or on the coffee table, this vintage-style mortar and pestle looks similar to the Williams Sonoma one but is much less expensive (I just bought it for the new kitchen!), and I adore this cute card box for holding cards (I actually just ordered them for someone in our family for Xmas – yes, I do that!)
I’m always looking for pretty little finds that are useful and versatile, or that make a great gift. This set of two marble trays is an absolute steal at $58!! They’re a good size, and the scalloped edge makes them special (just ordered them for the bathroom).
I always love finding new and unique baskets and these scalloped baskets are so adorable! They also have a lidded version here. Serena & Lily vibes for much less!
Fun sale find: these pretty fluted planters I shared in the spring (and own) are over 50% off now!
Pretty mirrors seem remarkably hard to find these days so I was thrilled when I spotted this rattan beauty (comes in another shape here).
This week I thought you might want to see what was big for the month of July, so I’m sharing last month’s best sellers: my favorite cotton sheets were the top seller of the month! Other big sellers were these vintage-style wire urn planters, this pretty (and reasonable) vase, these stunning hand-painted vases (on sale), and this French-inspired sideboard.
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

I saw this simple white linen top on someone recently and thought it was so cute, and this one is similar in eyelet cotton.
This chambray maxi-dress is sweet and chic at the same time (also comes in white)! Love!
This little woven flat is the perfect bridge between late summer and early fall.
There’s still a few things left at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, including these adorable pajamas (love them in the gingham!)
Speaking of the Nordstrom sale, I noticed that all the Barbour jackets sold out over night which was a huge bummer. But, they’re having a sale on Barbour right now and they are majorly marked down (even more than the Anniversary Sale!) This waxed coat in particular caught my eye – classic style and it’s 50% off!
And did you know that J.Crew has a new French-inspired collaboration?! Be still my heart! I especially love this floral dress (above).
How cute is this Clare V. French-inspired market tote?! Yes, please!
Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try the NeuBrow growth serum for awhile now, so when I saw it was part of the Nordstrom sale, I plucked it up (see what I did there?!) So excited to see the results as I have friends who swear by it!
Best seller’s for the month of July: the top seller of the month was this adorable linen top (on major sale), this pretty floral dress, this gorgeous leather jacket (on sale!), this cute sweater tee I own and love, and these versatile booties (still on sale)
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

We are finally watching a new show! After weeks of mostly books and movies, we recently started Landman, starring Billy Bob Thornton. A juicy portrayal of the oil industry in Texas, it was created by the man who did Yellowstone and was inspired by the Boomtown podcast (which I now want to listen to!)
It only has one season so far, though I believe they are making a second one. The cast also stars Jon Hamm, Ali Larter, and Demi Moore.
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

I’m a sucker for a yummy summer cocktail. In fact, I hardly ever drink cocktails the rest of the year!
A few of our favorites you can print out from the blog: this Basil Vodka Gimlet is one of my all-time favorites and a big hit whenever we serve it. I also love Red Wine Sangria and finally made it for the first time last summer and this Watermelon Mojito is delicious!

Hi, Sheila. I must have missed a post because all of a sudden I read that you moved! Just curious as to why since you had so recently made updates to your lovely home! I can’t wait to see what comes next though. I’ll bet it sold in a flash, lucky people!!
Hi Vikki! Yes, we moved about a month ago but had been looking for several years! It did sell fast which was so great – we were lucky!
Thanks for your kind words – I’ll be sharing some of the new house soon!
