Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Every week flies by faster than the last and yet I still feel like not a lot is happening at the house! But, painting did start which is exciting. Can I tell you, just seeing part of my bedroom go from mint green to a soft white brought a smile to my face! 🙂
I also only have one more week of my bachelorette life! I’ve spent most of the last month at the rental house alone as my husband travels a lot every summer, but next week he’s back. That means someone to help with the crazy amount of decisions, checking on the house, dealing with contractors – all of it. I’m giddy.
And as of today, the Fall Decor Shop is open on Maison de Cinq! I won’t be sharing a ton of fall here yet, but for those of you who want to get started, you can find lots of my curated favorites in the shop!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR
I’ve been looking at lots of kitchens over the past few weeks and I find myself gravitating to the warm and cozy English country style-vibe. This one is particularly gorgeous!
This week I’ve been shopping for fall just a bit. I’m excited to do at least a little fall decorating once we finally move in!
Right now something I’m loving is a touch of blue with fall colors like brown and rust, like in this throw pillow or this pretty one.
I saw this gorgeous basket at Target the other day and had to pluck it up! It looks just like the McGee & Co. baskets but for much less. This paper machê bowl is another new find in the fall line that looks more expensive than it is.
I love these brass candleholders and have had them for years, but then they became hard to find. But now McGee & Co is carrying them! They’re so versatile and give a great vintage look – I especially love the smallest one!
Also I shared these dried gourds last year and you guys loved them so I thought I’d share that they are back! I love that they are a subtle nod to the season – perfect for early fall when you don’t want bright orange anything.
As I mentioned, I’ve been loving more of an English-country vibe lately and while doing a deep dive on that, I found this gorgeous chair that’s a great price and gets good reviews!
Looking for new dishes? I’m crazy about the fluting on this set and that color – soo pretty!

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING
I’m definitely needing some new, casual blazers and I love a stripe or check as they are so seasonless. I just ordered this checked jacket (above) in linen – so gorgeous and it’s over 60% off! Two other great options are this striped blazer (50% off) or this one (25% off).
If you haven’t heard already, loafers are the hottest shoe for fall. The good news for those of us who already loved them is that because they’re so hot, there are tons of gorgeous options available! I own and love this suede pair (so comfy), this heeled loafer is so chic!, and I love the taupe color of this pair (40% off).
J.Crew dropped a small early fall line and I’m eyeing this denim barn jacket – I love that the dark color makes it more elevated, also loving this pretty pointelle short-sleeve sweater. Wearable now and later under a blazer!
And I found another great fall bag! This structured leather bag is a great size, plus it’s on sale!

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING
I started The River is Waiting by Wally Lamb. I haven’t read a book by him in years but wow, this one is astonishing. I’m not done yet, but it’s both heartbreaking and beautiful. I’m hooked.
If you’ve never read any of his other books, She’s Come Undone and We are Water were two early ones I just loved.
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING
Peaches and nectarines are my absolute favorite fruit – I will eat literally anything involving them! We love this Cinnamon Oat Peach Crisp (above), and I’m also dying to try this Spicy Honey-glazed Pork Chops with Peaches.
