Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

House progress! Or maybe not?! To be honest, not much has changed since last week. The floors are 90% done. But I’m still struggling with the cabinet color for the kitchen. They’re color-matching our paint and it hasn’t been quite right so they’re tweaking it again. Hopefully the next one is perfect and then the kitchen will be in in about a week!

But, we are still moving in sooner than that, just not today as previously intended, haha! The stairs will be done today, baseboards tomorrow, and then I have a construction cleaning crew coming in because there is so.much.dust!! Current plan is us moving in on Monday, less a kitchen! Fingers crossed.

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

The newest project from Lexi Westergard is called “The French Chateau.” I’ll just leave that right there! 😉

As you can imagine, I haven’t done any fall decorating, but I have been doing a little planning! I ordered two of these pillow covers and I’m in love!! The colors are gorgeous. I love the soft greens and brown for fall, yet it’s versatile enough to work year round – plus they’re a steal! I’m thinking of mixing them with this one or this one.

This fall wreath is a little splurgy, but it is absolutely stunning!!

Not necessarily fall, but this wool houndstooth throw looks so luxe, plus it’s on sale!

Loving the sweet pattern on this rustic vase – so unique! 

These terracotta pumpkin cache pots were a favorite last year and now they’re 30% off! So cute!

I’ve spent a lot of time looking at lighting the last couple of weeks, and I have a couple great deals to share. This pretty sconce looks just like the Visual Comfort version for way less (a friend has both and says she can’t tell them apart!) And I love this outdoor sconce that’s under $100 (plus it gets rave reviews!) 

Last week’s best sellers: this English country-inspired chair (4th week in a row!) and this charming wicker headboard.

 

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

I love cream for fall, and lately I’m totally crushing on creamy leathers. This faux suede blazer is so chic in the tan color, and these faux leather wide-leg pants that I own in black now come in a dark cream!

Another favorite fall color is olive green, it’s sophisticated and understated. I just ordered this pretty wool polo sweater (30% off now), and I’m loving this lightweight chore jacket.

This layered wool sweater looks just like the Vince one, but at a better price (and it’s 30% off now!)

Love these jeans! The color is so perfect for fall!

Banana Republic has started their Friends and Family sale with 40% off everything (this only happens about twice/year now so I like to take advantage!) This adorable cardigan is giving Sézane vibes (and the oregano color is stunning!) and this chunky cashmere turtleneck (above) is so good (love the mink stripe)!

Another thing I found that feels very ‘Sézane’ to me is this wrap blouse. Sooo chic – and under $50 now!

Last week’s best sellers: this gorgeous cashmere cardigan and this stylish blouse (comes in lots of patterns).

 

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

This week we watched Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary, and I couldn’t have loved it more. “Yacht Rock” is a term we heard about maybe 5 years ago or so and I was immediately on board! In fact, I made a Spotify playlist that we play every weekend called “Let’s Go Yachting” (you can find my playlist here if you want to check it out!)

It was such a fun trip down 70’s/80’s music memory lane!

 

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

Football season calls for a certain kind of meal, and to me, chili is perfect for game day. This Creamy White Chicken Chili sounds so good, or even better, serve this Easy Chicken Chili Corn Dip (above) which looks amazing!
