Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!
It’s been a busy week of trying to get lots of work and decorating finished before all the kids come home this weekend. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have some quality family time! We haven’t all been together since May, which for me is entirely too long!
And hopefully next week I’ll be sharing the rest of the house dressed for Christmas, so stay tuned!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR
This new build is full of English cottage-style charm!
This week several of my favorite stores are having early Black Friday Sales!
McGee & Co is offering up to 30% off the whole site, and since her sales only come a few times a year, it’s a great time to take advantage! I went back to look and see what I have in my house from there and sharing a few of my favorites!
This scalloped pot/vase might be my favorite thing I’ve ever purchased there (and it’s not expensive), I adore this English-country inspired pitcher (and it’s Nancy Meyer’s daughter’s recommend!), I just ordered these adorable gingham towels for the kitchen, and I’m completely smitten with these ribbed French wine glasses that I ordered during her last sale!
Pottery Barn has lots of deals up to half off, including this gorgeous herringbone throw (40% off) that I love (and would make a great gift, too!), these adorable marble tree cheese boards from our gift guide are on sale for 30% off and come in 2 sizes, and these mercury glass votives (30% off) are so versatile! I’ve used them for years and love scattering them on tables or the mantel at the holidays.
I’m also in a bit of a frenzy to get things ready for family coming to stay next week. So besides rushing to get the last of the lights installed and food purchased, I realized it’s time to refresh our sheets. We have nice sheets on our bed, but every other bed in the house was pretty lacking! I did lots of research before I purchased as there is a lot out there. In the end I went with Brooklinen, which is what we have on our bed, and also Wirecutter’s pick. Plus they’re 25% off now for Black Friday!
I purchased the Brooklinen Luxe sateen set for the guest rooms, which is their most popular. If you prefer a more ‘crisp’ feel to your cotton sheets, their cotton percale set is for you.

I’m a huge fan of the J.Crew slip skirt and the new version is not only made from rayon (not poly!), but at under $60 on sale is a steal! It doesn’t get more versatile than this.
Love this embellished cashmere sweater (25% off) – it’s the perfect piece for the entire season!

And how cute are these satin tapered pants (30% off)? They look so flattering and are perfect for almost any holiday event!
This little leather drawstring handbag is perfect for evenings out and so much more! Comes in 6 colors and is almost half off right now!
These classic loafers are now 30% off! I have them in 2 colors and they are comfortable right out of the box (a rarity for me!)

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING
Have you guys seen The Beast in Me? Oh wow, we’re only two episodes in but it is good! I haven’t been this into a show in a long while! It’s a thriller starring Claire Danes (always good) and Matthew Rhys (one of the best actors around) and it delivers!
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING
I recently ordered a lasagne soup at a deli and it was so good, I thought I’d try to find a recipe and recreate it at home. This Creamy Italian Lasagna Soup looks yummy – and easy!
Or if you want to actually make a lasagna, Ina Garten’s Easy Turkey Lasagna is TDF!
