Hello friends! How are you this week? Feeling relaxed and not rushed, or slightly behind? Or crazy behind like I am?!
I’ve never been this late with respect to decorating and sharing with you all, and I apologize! The house has truly taken over my life… and then Thanksgiving hosting came! And the calendar is the worst this year. The period between Thanksgiving and Christmas is so short and I’m scrambling!
But, I finally finished decorating and will be sharing this year’s holiday tour in the next few days! Oh, and I did order holiday cards so at least that’s checked off the list!
And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites! This is where I share everything from a great decor find, to a favorite movie, recipe, or podcast, to an article on beauty or health, or a wonderful thing to wear – anything that strikes me as interesting or fun or that I think you might love, too!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR
I spent several hours this week trying to find holiday home tours to share with you, but they’re so hard to find online any more! Nearly everyone has gone to video, and for me personally, I love to pour over the still photos and zoom in on all the details. I know many of you are probably in the early stages of decorating for the season, so if you’re looking for some inspiration, above is my Traditional Christmas Tour in Burgundy & Silver from last year. I’m all about scents – especially at the holidays! My two favorite candles are the Linnea Lights Forest Fir and Illume Balsam & Cedar. This year I purchased the Illume in the silver mercury ornament vessel and I couldn’t love it more! The scent is soft and lovely, yet permeates the whle room. (This would also make a gorgeous gift – comes in red and green, too!)
McGee & Co. have extended their Cyber Week sale on select items! I’ve been coveting this table lamp for awhile and now it’s 40% off! Also loving this stunning set of two ruffled serving bowls (40% off now)! They would be lovely for serving for the holidays and would also make a great gift!
If you’re hosting for the holidays (or just love setting a nice table) I’ve found some lovely pieces lately! I saw these napkins in store and they’re so pretty, these gingerbread house place cards (30% off) could not be cuter, and these mercury glass vases are stunning (and on sale!)
A couple of holiday finds: I fell in love with these faux juniper clippings (they look so real), and if you’re still looking for a wreath this one is exactly like my Anthropologie one (that’s now sold out!) and it’s half off!!
Last month’s best sellers! The #1 seller of the month was these fluted flameless candles! You also loved these faux cranberries (on clearance now), my favorite garland (40% off now!), this pretty wreath (still on sale!), and this gorgeous ribbon you won’t believe is Amazon!
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING
Two whole holiday party invites have arrived and I’m ridiculously excited! Of course, since we don’t know many people here yet that also means a trip down south and seeing friends which makes my heart happy! 🙂
On that note, I’m sharing a few deals along with some things I’m loving and planning to wear!
I love a faux leather pant and I’m thinking I’ll pair them with a pretty ivory top like this stunning blouse (above – 40% off) or this satin zip-up top!
For the second event I’m thinking more casual – love the idea of this darling sweater (30% off), this embellished sweater or this one with jeans and a fab shoe like this adorable pump or this pretty one (50% off!). These jeans look perfect, or this pair in a great dark wash that are under $100!
Combine that with a sparkly earring like these or these, or this gorgeous pearl drop earring (under $25!) and you’ve got a perfect holiday party outfit!

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING
Last week when the kids were all home we went to see Wicked: For Good in the theater. Have you guys seen it? I loved the first one so much so admittedly, the bar was pretty high for me.
To be honest, I didn’t enjoy it as much overall. It’s definitely darker, with less plot/dialogue, etc. But what I did love was how it focused on the story of deep female friendship between the two main characters. And of course, the ladies were amazing, as were the costumes and set design (again).
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING
Since the holidays are almost upon us holiday cocktails are in order don’t you think? This Cranberry Whiskey Sour is a personal favorite, and goes viral on the blog every year – it’s that good!

I love using this Pine scented hand soap during the holidays and through January – so yummy! (they make dish soap and surface spray, too!) I love that it smells so good and is much more reasonable than some of the pricier brands. Another favorite is their Peppermint scent – everyone here loves it!

You found some pretty Christmas finds, Sheila. Those pinecone berry napkins are pretty and those ruffled bowls, though not only for Christmas, but all year, are adorable! I do love sending cards this time of year, but have given myself grace, to send New Year’s cards in January. My Mother in- law passed away😠in November and while we will have her memorial service, out of state, in April, we have been handling paperwork and phone calls, etc. We are also on standby awaiting the birth of our first grandson!! Our daughter is more than ready! She and I have been nesting like crazy! 😂All that to say I’ve prepped for Christmas early, our activity calendar has been carefully limited, and the cards will have to wait until we meet his arrival with a few additional pictures!
Enjoy the celebrations and give yourself some grace. Moving in is a process and you’ve remodeled and hosted on top of that!
