Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, movies, podcasts, fashion finds and more! And though it won’t all be French, some of it definitely will!

Wow, has December flown by or what?! I know we always say that (or maybe that’s just me?) but this year seems especially, ridiculously fast! I have yet to wrap even one gift, but I have done about half of my shopping, so I guess there’s that!

And before we get into all the goodies this week, I wanted to let you know that next week I’ll be skipping Friday Favorites as it’s Christmas Eve. I have a couple of posts coming early in the week and then I’ll be taking some time off to enjoy the holidays with my family and I figured you’ll also be busy celebrating. 😉

But I’ll be back here on New Year’s Eve for the last Friday Favorites of the year, and I have a surprise for you all so be sure to stop by then!

And now onto Friday Favorites – where I share everything from a great decor find, to a favorite movie, recipe, or podcast, to a wonderful thing to wear – anything that strikes me as interesting or fun or that you might love, too!

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR

One last Christmas tour for you to enjoy – and her home is so gorgeous! Find the full tour here.

Since I know many of you are still looking for gifts, I thought I’d share a few favorites that I’ve been buying or that you all have loved. And I’m only sharing items that will arrive in time for Christmas! And by the way, you can also look for ‘buy online, pick up in store’ when it’s available – that way you can be sure to get it in time!

Oh and if you are more organized than most and have done all your shopping, maybe treat yourself to something for all your hard work! 😉

Gifts for the home, hostess gifts, or decor lovers: this portable wine chiller is so elegant, this cozy throw is perfect for anyone from a friend, to a teacher to your MIL! And if you feel like buying something for yourself (I’ve been known to do this!) this log holder is a favorite as are these vases.

Small and fun tech items: this extra long phone charger was one of my favorite gifts last year, Apple AirTags are hot and such a clever idea, and I bought this magnetic phone car mount for everyone!

Cozy favorites: this stunning robe is on my wishlist (hint, hint to family members reading) and for a heavier weight one, I own and love this one, and you can’t beat the price of these pretty gloves.

For the fashion lover: consider a cozy sweater (always a perfect gift). This turtleneck and this cardigan and cashmere on sale! This classic crewneck (comes in dozens of colors!), this turtleneck, this v-neck or this scarf/wrap. This necklace is gorgeous and this eye shadow palette is an all-time favorite.

And a few extras in case you feel like splurging: this is our espresso maker and we love it! We also love our robot vacuum, a cast iron dutch oven is a must-have for anyone who cooks, Apple AirPod Pros are so worth the money, and I want one of these mini massagers so badly!

THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING

Let’s talk holiday wear! I shared with you that we are going to our one and only holiday party tomorrow – yay! I’m wearing this skirt (which I highly recommend – it’s so cute, luxe and can be dressed up or down!), this sweater and I splurged on this adorable clutch!

But we are also going to do a little New Year’s gathering so I’m eyeing a few things for that as well! (Can you tell I haven’t been anywhere in 2 years?!)

If you have an event to go to this dress looks amazing (and under $100!), I adore this dress, this one is gorgeous, as is this one. And you can never go wrong with a pretty top like this one or this one to wear with these velvet jeans or these velvet pants. Top it off with a statement earring like these or these and a fun heel like the ones I bought here, or these well-priced classics and you’re set!

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO

Have you guys seen the new Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That? I was super excited about it (I loved that show!) but now it’s getting horrible reviews, though I may have to try it anyway. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you think! Oh and if for some reason you’ve never seen Sex and the City, that’s a must-see!

Well, I said we’d talk Christmas movies again so here we are, haha! But I wanted to share a good one that’s a little under the radar called The Bishop’s Wife. There was a modern remake called The Preacher’s Wife as well, but I really prefer the original. It’s such a sweet story and well worth seeking out if you haven’t seen it. Plus Cary Grant plays an angel, how bad could that be?!

THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING

Of course I’m all about serving some fun, festive cocktails this season! These delicious Pomegranate Cocktails are perfect for any gathering, easy to make and they look gorgeous!

And if you’re in the mood (or need) some chocolate-y goodness, check out my  Chocolate Peppermint Crunch Cookies!

Do you make any special meals for Christmas at your house? I serve crab legs with garlic butter and lots of crusty bread along with a green salad for Christmas Eve, and this prime rib, along with this potato gratin, and these popovers are on the menu for Christmas dinner.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

Love this blogger and her gorgeous Instagram account!

I also shared a gorgeous Christmas table in red and green. It’s easy and pretty and uses the cutest dishes that are still available and get here before the big day!

Do you send Christmas cards? I still do and it’s one of those old-fashioned traditions that I love. If you’re a card sender like me, you might enjoy this fun article on The History of Christmas Cards.

And tips for keeping your holidays stress-free!

Happy Friday!

And to all of you who celebrate Christmas, may you have a very merry one!
