How are all of you? How’s your weather been? I know it’s been unbelievably freezing in much of the country, but wow, it’s shocking how cold it’s been here! Several days this week were in the low 30s when I walked (definitely not normal for CA, even in winter!) That combined with all the rain we’ve had has me so ready for spring!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

Love her classic white kitchen!

This week is all about my obsession with Nancy Meyers’ style! Lately I’ve been obsessed with zhushing my home so that it feels a little warmer and more collected. Which to me, relates both to more of a European way of decorating, as well as what her interiors are all about. Lived in, comfortable, and inviting. 

She always has fresh flowers displayed, often in simple glass vases. This glass vase has a gorgeous shape and it’s priced so well (comes in 4 sizes).

Nancy is a big believer in having a large bowl as a centerpiece on the dining table, or on the kitchen counter holding fresh fruit. Hers are often rattan or white ceramic. (In her own home I noticed both a substantial wicker bowl as well as a cake stand, both holding fruit). 

A white dutch oven is always hanging around on the stove in both her movies and her own home, as well as white pitchers (this is a great one) and lots of white dishes!

And like me, she loves a terracotta planter in the kitchen! They look charming holding a flowering plant or fresh herbs. I recently got this scalloped pot (love!) and I own and love the Bergs pots. 

And art. She always has art! It really is key to making your home feel warm and inviting. Nancy seems to favor either landscapes, still lifes, or drawings (love this!)

Random Amazon find: have you tried this mattress pad that I shared last year? They are an Annie Meyers recommend and are the absolute best!!

Last week’s best sellers: this gorgeous blue floral bowl (I ordered it too!) and my fave little olive topiary! 

 

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

Did you know that pale blues are the color for spring? Good thing we love that color (and it looks good on almost anyone!)

I’m loving the idea of a beautiful soft blue sweater for spring and this one has me smitten! Chunky cotton and a gorgeous color. This cashmere crewneck is a stunning shade of French blue, and this short sleeve sweater is a perfect piece for spring!

I’ve been buying up little silk scarves like crazy – love how they make any outfit chic! This pretty blue silk bandana is a winner. 

Though I can’t wear them quite yet, I’ve started thinking about dresses and this denim midi dress (above) looks so flattering!

So in love with this wide-leg jean! Seriously the cutest jean I’ve seen in awhile!

I love a slingback flat and these are well-priced (how cute is the cream and black?) I also saw this low heeled slingback in store and fell in love! They’re dressier than a flat but more casual than a heel. So perfect for spring.

Last week’s best sellers: these adorable cream penny loafers and this adorable gingham rain jacket (still on sale).

 

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

Have you watched Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette?? It’s all anyone’s talking about and I have to say, I am hooked!! I honestly didn’t think it would live up to my expectations, but it is sooo good! 

The casting is great and the wardrobe, gah!! So good. As is the 90s soundtrack. 🙂

 

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

It’s been so cold that we’re still cooking lots of cozy meals! Last night I made this Creamy Chicken Tortilla Soup (above) and it was so yummy!

Another recent favorite are these Chicken Thighs with Creamy Mustard Sauce.

 

RANDOM THOUGHTS

I’ve shared how I love following Nancy’s daughter on Instagram before. And now she’s got a book coming out (pre-order here). Seriously so excited for this one (the cover has me salivating!)
