Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!
We’ve continued meeting with different landscapers, as well as a few contractors for our deck/overhang plans. Though things are still TBD, I’m feeling excited. What got me most excited? The AI version of our yard! I took a photo of our yard and some ‘inspiration’ photos and had AI design it based on that, and wow! It’s not perfect but it’s such a good start and has really helped us visualize it.
We’re also planning a trip to Mexico in a few weeks so I’ve been busy with that. It will be the first time we’ve taken a vacation, not a trip, but a vacation, basically.. ever! If any of you have been to Cabo and have recommendations, send them my way! 🙂

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR
Absolutely love this English-inspired new build – that doesn’t look new at all!
I’ve had a bit of a random week so I hope you don’t mind if I’m sharing random things! 😉
You guys, this Studio McGee x Target basket is soo good! It looks almost exactly like one that’s in their more expensive McGee and Co. line!
I think I mentioned a few weeks ago that pale blues are the big color in fashion for spring, well I’m loving them for the home right now, too. I can’t get enough!
This blue and white bowl would make Nancy Meyers proud! It just arrived and it’s so stunning, and a generous size, too. Looks way more expensive than it is! (By the way, this is a dupe for the much more expensive version that’s over $300 and it looks almost identical! I can vouch that it is good!)
Seriously considering this gorgeous botanical wallpaper in blue for the powder room! Love!
I’m loving the idea of soft blues for Easter too, and plan to use either this pretty tablecloth or this floral one (on sale).
If you’re crazy for basket planters like I am, don’t sleep on these woven planter baskets that are currently 20% off!
I’m sure I’ll share more Easter as we get closer but these hand-painted eggs are on sale for 30% off now and I know they’ll sell out! Just adorable.
I feel like salad servers are strangely hard to find – this set is absolutely charming!

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING
Dresses! Is there anything more fun than adding some pretty dresses to your closet come springtime?
This pale blue floral dress (above) is utterly lovely and could work for so many things!

Shea McGee was wearing this linen top on IG the other day and it’s so flattering, I couldn’t order it fast enough!

I love how versatile a braided belt is. This leather one is currently on sale for under $50 (comes in neutral and black).

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING
Paradise Season 2? How come I didn’t hear about this? We loved the first season so you would think I would have been on top of it when it came out last month! Alas, I only found this out this week but we are now bingeing it again!
A few other new seasons of older shows we haven’t started yet but we’re excited to watch: Night Agent season 3, The Pitt season 2, and Bridgerton season 4.
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING
This Lemon Cheesecake is one of my absolute favorites. It’s lighter than most other cheesecakes and super easy (you don’t even need a mixer!)
Plus, it’s perfect for Easter or Passover! You can get the printable recipe here.
Another lemon recipe I love is this Lemon Pound Cake – it uses both lemon zest and lemon juice and has a lemon syrup you glaze on afterwards. It’s out of this world good! Trust me.
RANDOM THOUGHTS
Today as you read this I’m meeting with designer Alex Adamson for a one-hour consultation (cue the excitement!) I need help with a few things and decided to book something on The Expert. The Expert is a website where you can sign up for hour long consultations with some of the world’s best designers without spending an arm and a leg. I was already following Alex on Instagram so I’m really excited to see what input she gives me! (The home tour I shared above was also her project).
Did you hear??? Nancy Meyers Has a New Movie Coming Out in 2027! I’m positively giddy!
Declare 2026 The Year of Whimsy. I just might do that!

I just saw your response from months ago! Las Ventanas IS in San Jose Del Cabo! I hope you had a great trip! I was looking up Maison de Cinq through my email because I wanted to tell you that I shopped your link for a brown linen Nordstrom dress. It is seriously my new favorite dress! It is lined, beautiful and flattering. I get lots of compliments. When I told my daughter that I found the dress from a French European home decor blog she laughed! Then she said, “you should follow more of her dress recommendations because she nailed it!”
Haha oh I love your daughter – she made my day! 🙂
And yes, we had an amazing trip! We stayed at the Esperanza and loved it.

We’ve been to Cabo many times and just got back a few days ago from Playa Del Carmen. Firstly, exercise caution and you’ll be fine. El Farallon at the Pedregal is great and the view is spectacular. We book dinner there every time we go.

Hi Sheila! You asked for Cabo recommendations and I have a few. We used to live in Los Angeles so we vacationed in Cabo frequently; it is an easy trip out of LAX. I recommend that you stay in San Jose del Cabo, not Cabo San Lucas. The reason we stay here is because there is a swimmable beach, great food, and a private resort vacation that is very quiet. Cabo San Lucas, on the other hand, is not a restful vacation. You have all of the cruise ships and their thousands of passengers imploding upon a small, crowded area. It isn’t restful. The city is nice to visit for a day or evening, but not to have a true “vacation”. We have stayed at Hilton Los Cabos and Las Ventanas al Paraiso and had amazing, restful vacations. My son has also stayed at Nobu and said it was great as well. Try and get a package that includes breakfast. (We often booked through AMEX and it included breakfast, early check-in, late check-out, free room upgrade…..) The breakfast buffets are so bountiful and delicious, that we don’t eat another meal until dinner. Depending which resort you stay at, they have extras like a swim up bar, live music… that is so fun. Las Ventanas is very exclusive and has “A Listers”, so it is quiet, private and small. We try to use Amex points rather than cash because it can be very pricey during certain seasons. In San Jose del Cabo, we like to stay at the resort without leaving because the atmosphere, service, relaxation….is so good. You really get to rest! If you want a bit of adventure you can rent jet skis, snorkel equipment, deep sea fishing….right from your hotel, without leaving the area. Here are the links: https://www.hiltonloscabos.com
