Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

I spent the first half of the week doing taxes, never fun! We are usually much earlier than this, but didn’t call to make our appointment until later and then of course, all the early slots were taken. Anyway, it’s done – thank goodness we only do this once per year!
In much better news, our plan is to start working on our vegetable garden this weekend! Hopefully between today and tomorrow we can get it cleaned out, soil amendments added, and get at least a few things in the ground as rain comes again next week. I’m dying to share it with you when we’re done!
My week has been a bit random, so hopefully you don’t mind me sharing random (but fun) spring finds! 🙂

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

This English-country home uses more color and pattern than I’m typically drawn to, but they do it so well! See this charming home here.
It’s time to spruce up the outside!
LOVE this planter box with trellis – and that price! I’m thinking of where I could add it in the back.
Our teak outdoor coffee table is now 50% off (that’s less than I paid 3 years ago)! It’s such a classic style and a generous size.
I’ve talked before about becoming an ‘outdoor rug’ convert, and since mine has seen better days I thought I’d share a few I’m eyeing. This one is stunning (definitely pretty enough to be used inside, too!), this one is similar to my previous one, and I love this one a friend has (great price!)
This outdoor side table is so unique and cool!
Did you know that Pamela Anderson did an outdoor collaboration with Olive Ateliers? It’s all very-Summer-in-Provence with lots of wicker, but the thing that most caught my eye is this stunning outdoor dining table. It’s pricey, but wow.. I’m swooning! You can see the whole line here.
I saw this adorable mossy birdhouse this week and I knew immediately I had to order it. It’s a bird chateau! And it will look so pretty in one of our oak trees.
These wooden planters (20% off) are so stunning! Love!
How cute is this swan basket? I love that it looks vintage. And though they’re not selling it as a planter, it would look amazing with a plant in it!
Random but so good! This set of faux books is actually storage! They look high-end (covered in linen), and they fit our remotes perfectly! Absolutely brilliant.
Last week’s best sellers: this pretty woven display shelf and this cute iron trellis for planters.
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

A loose, flowy poplin midi skirt is a true spring hero. And they are so popular right now – particularly in white – it’s a spring/summer must-have! But I will say, it can take awhile to find the right one! I ordered at least five before I found one that was flattering and didn’t overwhelm me – luckily they are everywhere.
I love when they have smocking or pleating at the waist, like this version, which is similar to this one that I shared a few weeks back, and this one (30% off) also looks flattering, or go with one with eyelet details (20% off) – love!
And let’s talk Boden! They’re a brand I really like and have shared before, and they’re having 25% off everything – which they almost never do!
What caught my eye: this pretty cutwork sleeve top, this versatile linen top, this sailor-style sweater is darling, and I adore this strappy flat sandal in gold (though it comes in tan, too).
This week is Sephora’s big savings event (10-20% off depending on level)! I’ll be stocking up on my favorites: my new foundation I’m loving, my favorite brow powder, the gel eyeliner I’ve used for years, and I ordered this anti-frizz blow dry spray that came highly recommended to try.
Last week’s best sellers: the perfect woven flats and this breezy sundress.
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

The other night, my husband and I were talking about Oscar winners. To be specific, he was in a conversation with people at work and he couldn’t think of many best picture winners, especially over the last decade or so. So, we thought, why don’t we watch (or re-watch) some of the winners?
I found the list above and we plan to plow through a few. I’ve seen a lot, but there are a few older ones I’ve never seen. And some are definitely worth a re-watch! Just in that first column I have many favorites: Schindler’s List, American Beauty, Argo, and Spotlight, to name a few. Movie night here we come!
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

Are you familiar with David Lebovitz? He’s a professional cook and author of six cookbooks, and this is key, he has spent decades living in France.
This weekend we had some neighbors over for dinner and I made his delicious Fresh Ginger Cake to rave reviews, which made me want to go explore his recipes a little more as I hadn’t looked through his books in a long time.
I’m dying to try his Wine Harvester’s Chicken and his Chicken Lady Chicken. And since I usually roast a chicken every Sunday, this seems like the perfect way to mix it up this week!
I have his Ready for Dessert and My Paris Kitchen books, but all of his are highly rated.
