Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

As you read this I’m on my way to visit my two boys who are both in Seattle. It’s rare that I get some one-on-one time with my boys so I’m really looking forward to it. It will be cloudy, but as of now there is no rain in the forecast so let’s hope that holds! Wishing those of you who celebrate a wonderful Mother’s Day!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

This house tour is so cheerful – it’s full of color and charm!

These window boxes are so good! Plus, they get great reviews and they’re self-watering! These tall planters are a classic style, and this outdoor wicker sofa is a steal at this price!

This scalloped rattan bed is gorgeous and so unique, plus it’s 20% off! 

I’m madly in love with this lidded wicker basket (30% off)! If you need some storage that also looks pretty, it doesn’t get any prettier than that!

Add tons of charm to a bedroom with this rattan lamp (20% off now) – I adore the fluted shade!

These adorable patterned ceramic pieces (20% off) are so charming! Love the blue and white, but they come in other colors, too.

I’m slowly trying to change up some furniture here in the living areas so I’ll be sharing some of what I find! This gorgeous chest is at TJ Maxx right now and I can’t believe it! Such a find. And this chest is beautiful and under $500 (would also make a great nightstand!)

Last week’s best sellers: this well-priced outdoor wicker chair and these adorable ‘pet mom’ mugs!

 

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

I’m all about white jeans for spring and summer and wear them a ton. I’m due for a new pair and thought I’d share some that I’m loving/considering – this cropped pair with pockets is so cute and priced so well (H&M is at Nordstrom now!), this is the perfect wide-leg pair (25% off), and this cropped straight-leg pair (25% off) looks so flattering!

Another spring/summer staple for me? Dresses. I used to be a strict pants-only girl and I’ve completely changed my tune the last few years. There is just nothing better than a pretty dress for this season, and (bonus) it makes getting ready that much easier. 

This poplin fit-and-flare dress looks so flattering and it comes in 8 colors, and I fell hard for this white linen dress – the style is unique which makes it special. 

If you’re not familiar with the line Rails, they do dresses particularly well (they are sold on their website as well as some department stores). Two faves: this gingham dress has my heart, this mixed print dress (above) could not be cuter! (and it’s on sale!)

Random top I had to share! This embroidered tee is adorable and an elevated way of doing a tee.

Have you heard? Jellies are back! I wore them a ton in the early 90’s but they’re reinvention in 2026 includes so many different styles than we had! I’ve done a lot of looking and reading reviews because (apparently) many of them are super uncomfortable. However, I found these jelly flip flops that are highly rated and I love the elevated look (also available here).

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

Have you guys heard of this book? I had read several reviews and then had a friend recommend it, and wow! It’s a story about a woman whose husband of twenty years announces suddenly and without warning that he’s leaving her, and her examination of that relationship through a new lens.

A story of strength that is both riveting and heartbreaking. 

 

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

Looking for some brunch recipes you could prepare this Mother’s Day? If you’ve never made French toast with croissants, now is the time. It is literally the most delicious thing in the world! I usually make Ina Garten’s Challah French Toast recipe and just swap out the challah bread for croissants. 

If you want to get fancier, this Strawberry Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast and this Blueberry Croissant French Toast Bake (above) both look yummy, too!

 

RANDOM THOUGHTS

It’s spring, and that means flowers! So if you’re not already following Georgianna Lane on Instagram, now’s the time! Her photos of florals and Paris are stunning. She’s also written 14 books – Beautiful Blooms is her latest!
