Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend full of fun and relaxation – the best kind! Ours was busy but fun. We went to our first party here which was really nice, and visited the SF Showcase House for the first time which was fabulous! Sharing some photos below.

This patio was outside of one of the bedrooms on the top floor. It felt like we were in Paris!

And this bedroom was my absolute favorite! Done all in pale blues it was full of English charm!

And now, let’s talk summery favorites!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

I’m in love with the pretty blue/gray of this laundry room! You can see the rest of the house here.

Of course my favorites in summer home decor involve linens, all things rattan, and anything blue and white!

Since moving we’ve changed around the sofas so I’m looking to update my throw pillows for summer with something in the blue tones – these solid linen pillows have been a staple for years (and they’re recommended by Nancy Meyers daughter, too so who am I to argue?!)

This embroidered pillow is gorgeous and looks more expensive than it is, and I love this stunning pillow! This maker has such a pretty selection – you could even order a curated set at a great price.

Do you prefer table runners or tablecloths? For years I only used runners, but lately I’m loving the soft and feminine look of a cloth – especially in a summery floral. My friend turned me onto this line from Amazon – surprisingly high quality and a great price (plus they come in multiple sizes), I will forever love this one (that trim pattern is so gorgeous!), and I just found this pretty one at Tuckernuck. I had no idea they had home products!

I can’t believe the price of these stunning woven urn planters! I’ve seen them for literally twice this price if not more!

Is it possible to fall in love with a ice bucket? If so, then I’m completely besotted with this wicker one! Matching wine cooler here. Very Serena & Lily for much less!

I’ve always loved bar carts and an outdoor one in wood seems especially charming! Love this one (currently on sale) and this one is similar but larger.

Best sellers for May! This outdoor wicker chair was the best seller of the month! You also loved this stunning wool rug, these outdoor stone spheres I own and love, and our guest room bed that’s still on sale!

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

Do you have any weddings, showers, or the like to go to this summer? We have a couple so I’ve been on the hunt for dresses. This silk dress is stunning (love the classic black but how cute is the green?), this navy dress is so lovely, and if you can wear strapless this simple but chic washable silk dress is amazing for the price (looks like Reformation!)

For a garden wedding this floral dress is so elegant, love this print and the color (above), and both this dress and this dress are on sale for about $100!

I’m thinking this sandal is the shoe for any and all dressy events this summer! The color is so versatile and the heel height is perfect. It’s sold out almost everywhere, but I found it in stock here, and I love this heel for a lower option (comes in lots of colors!)

And I’m going with this leather clutch that’s a steal at this price point!

I love pearl jewelry, and it’s especially nice with summer wedding or evening outfits where we would not necessarily wear something flashier. This pair of pearl earrings are under $30 and seem edgy but still understated.

Best Sellers for May: this charming straw bag was the number one seller of the month by a lot! You also loved this gorgeous dress, this sleeveless cotton top, and this sleeveless linen sheath dress (still on sale!)

THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

It’s book season! Well, I’m sure not for everyone, but to me, summer is the perfect reading season and I always read much more during this time of year than any other. And I’ve started off with a bang! I finished Strangers a couple of weeks ago (loved it!), and I’m currently reading Yesteryear.

It’s that book that it seems everyone is talking about and it is good! I’ve heard the ending is somewhat controversial, but so far, I’m finding it hard to put down and so thought-provoking. Can’t wait to see where it goes!

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

I heard two different people talk about how much they loved this Salmon with Honey & Chili Crunch, and then I realized I actually own the cookbook it’s in! It’s from Lidey Heuck’s Cooking in Real Life, but I had never made it.

The best part? It has under five ingredients but tastes like so much more! It’s delicious and easy – my favorite combo!
