Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Happy June! Summer is here, and I couldn’t be happier! Bring on the warm weather, picnics in the park, beach days, and vacation.
Speaking of vacations, I’m thrilled that we’re already planning two. After a few years of zero summer travel it feels like a small miracle! Later this month we’re going to Boston, and then in August we’re headed to Lopez Island in Washington.
And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

Not sure if I actually ever shared Nancy Meyers’ remodeled Los Angeles home before! Mark D. Sikes did the design – see the rest of her home here.
And on that note, this week we’re channeling Nancy Meyers and her classic style! (Also, did you know she’s making a new movie?! Can. Not. Wait.!)
A few weeks ago I shared that I met with a designer for a zoom consult, but I still felt I needed a little more guidance so I decided to do it again. This time, I used Annie Meyers-Shyer (Nancy Meyers’ daughter) and though she’s not a trained decorator, she was actually way better than the actual designer I used.
One of her first suggestions was to get larger rugs for both the living and family rooms. But since mine are wool and we still like them, she suggested layering a seagrass or sisal rug underneath which I’m all for. I love the look – and it’s very Nancy Meyers!
My original seagrass rugs, as well as whatever I order for this house, were custom from Pottery Barn. They have the best prices and you can get any size you want! This works so well for any odd sized room, as well as for what I need to do.
Aren’t these wicker dining chairs pretty?! We are in the process of changing out the dining chairs and these are for sure in the running. Deciding between a wicker style like those, or something upholstered like this one (love! – and it’s a good dupe of the Jenny Kayne chairs). Or I may mix them like last time.
Nancy always makes a home feel lived in with pretty vessels for corralling all the things. This rattan console basket is perfection in an entry, this is a great bowl for a console table (50% off now!), and everyone needs a good tray – they’re perfect on a coffee table or island. This woven tray is extra pretty and the sale price is so good (30% off)!
In the kitchen you need a pitcher for displaying flowers and it doesn’t get more charming than this one!
I never used to use hurricanes (not sure why?!) but I’m a complete convert now. They look beautiful on a dining or console table and will be used for years to come. They are so classic – and can be used as vases, too.
I own these glass hurricanes and they are stunning – and they’re now back in stock! They’ve been gone for over a year so I’m thrilled to see them return. Plus they look way more expensive than they are.
Nancy always features terracotta pots – in both her movies and her own home. Of course, you can get them ultra-cheap at your local nursery, but those are always too orange for me. It’s nice when they are more faded or distressed looking which can be hard to find! This one is great and gets high ratings, or display some herbs in the kitchen with this charming set of 3 pots!
Last week’s best sellers: this stunning throw pillow and this adorable outdoor bar cart.
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

I’m loving this relaxed beachy sweater, which also comes in a tank version (just ordered in the brown). Such a perfect piece for summer!
This blouse is super chic and versatile (now it’s 50% off!)
This block print top’s beading makes is special (30% off).
Love this flattering short-sleeve sweater – so chic and on sale!
I’m loving all the beaded and colorful jewelry that’s out now – and it’s especially perfect for summer! This necklace is so fun (comes in lots of colors)
I’ve been desperately searching for a sun hat with a wide brim and a tie. I love the idea of being able to tie it on when it’s windy, etc. Found this one that I really like, and this one is now on sale for around $30! I ordered both to see which work better.
Love the color of this pretty cotton dress (above), and the pattern of this dress is so good! (under $70)
I saw this blouse in sheer pink on Instagram and had to order it! (also available here) It’s absolutely stunning on. Would be beautiful with a skirt to go to a wedding or event, or with jeans for a dressy night out. (Comes in a few other sheer colors, as well as many non-sheer).
Last week’s best sellers: this pretty dress and this perfect wedding guest dress.
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

There are quite a few shows that are back that we have yet to catch up with. We started the second season of Beef and did not like it. Did you watch it? We loved the first season and to me, this one just didn’t compare.
But we are liking and watching The Four Seasons, season 2 (above), Night Agent season 2, Emily in Paris season 4 (yes, I’m very behind!),
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

I adore strawberries and they have been so good already this season. Once they hit, I love making anything and everything strawberry!
This Strawberry Shortcake is my absolute favorite and honestly, does it get any better? Delicious simplicity. Here are 14 More NYT Popular NYT Recipes.
And you have to try my Strawberry Gin Cocktail – it’s really tasty (and has a surprising ingredient!)
RANDOM THOUGHTS

15 Coastal Grandma Hobbies That’ll Have You Feeling Like Nancy Meyers Herself
I’ve been feeling frustrated with flower arranging – it’s sometimes hard to get them to look the way they should – so I finally sprang for the proper tools (thank you Annie Meyers!) I already had some great shears, but I added floral frogs and good floral wire. What a difference it makes! Now when I’m using a wider mouthed vase everything isn’t just falling over!
