Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!
Last week’s trip to Boston was so good! Not only was the city so gorgeous and full of history, but a World Cup game was happening and there were thousands of Scots roaming the city in kilts! We saw the sites, had some good meals, walked a zillion miles everywhere, and even went to a Red Sox game in that historic ballpark. What a fun city!
This weekend will be filled with blueberry picking with friends, and lots (and lots!) of gardening, plus we’re finally getting around to cleaning our patio furniture so that we can actually sit outside! And we’ve moved into true summer weather which is perfect timing for some weekend reading out there. 🙂

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

I’m a sucker for a linen tablecloth, and I adore this striped one that’s now 50% off! So lovely for summer.

Loving this new line of pretty vases and bowls from PB – they’re priced well and the ‘dots’ pattern is so cute.
We haven’t talked travel at all this summer, but my absolute favorite luggage is on a rare sale so I wanted to share! I love the bigger carry-on and the medium size the most. This luggage is the best and worth the investment.
I’ve been seeing the Bissell portable upholstery/carpet cleaner for years now but had never bought it. Then Winston decided to get sick all over our wool bedroom rug so in desperation, I ordered it. And wow, you guys! It works so well! It got out all the stain – and it was bad. Color me impressed!

THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING
This cotton sweater would be so cute for the 4th, and I love that it could be worn beyond that, too!
I’m totally crushing on this cotton canvas tote! Perfect for the beach, the boat, vacation, and more. This is J.Crew at their classic best.
I don’t know about you, but I love a robe. I wear them year-round to get ready in the morning, but the winter ones I have are making me way too hot! So, I’ve been on the hunt. Deciding between this linen blend robe (30% off) that I just ordered, or this highly-rated cult favorite from Lake Pajamas. Speaking of sleepwear, I did just order this short-sleeve pajama set from them and I love how light and airy they are. Perfect for summer sleeping!
You guys know I try to never share anything here that’s too pricey, but sometimes an item is so good, it’s worth the investment. And that is these sandals! I’ve heard them hyped up from friends and all over IG and I finally ordered them to see what all the fuss is about, and I can legitimately say they are worth every penny. They’re beautifully made and comfortable – I walked lots of steps in them in Boston! They also have a popular thong version here.
This dress (above) is stunning – love it in both the blue and the white (which is 30% off!), and they have a skirt in a similar fabric! Love.

This weekend we’re seeing Disclosure Day, the new Spielberg film starring Emily Blunt. What could be better than a popcorn movie in a real theater?! I’ve heard good things so I’m excited to see it!
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING
So I haven’t made ice cream yet this summer, but since we went to an ice cream party last weekend it’s on my mind. With the move and my husband traveling so much I never made any last summer, but I plan to make up for that this year!
Some of our favorites: this Sour Cream Ice Cream is TDF, truly! It’s especially good on pie or a fruit crumble. We also love this Blackberry Chip Ice Cream and this Espresso Ice Cream is a family favorite.

Hi Cathy!! I actually I have shown some of my house! I’ve featured the kitchen on the blog and on Instagram several times. I also did a Christmas tour that included the kitchen and living rooms, and I shared a reel of my bedroom on Instagram, too.
But yes, I do get what you mean. I haven’t done a full ‘reveal’ style post but I’m planning to! My main hang-up now is waiting for window coverings and then I will definitely share more, even if it’s not completely done (which by the way, it won’t be!)
