Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

I’m back after a whirlwind few days in So Cal, again! I went to visit my mom and get her some things she needed, though it turns out I picked the wrong week as it was over 100° and so humid. When I landed back home it was in the 80s and honestly, I was practically giddy!
My husband gets home today after being away all week and I’m looking forward to hanging out, working in our garden, and having our pizza and movie night tonight. 🙂
Also, I wanted to share with you that next week is Friday Favorites’ 5th anniversary and I have something special planned!
And now, let’s talk this week’s favorites!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

This home that Studio McGee designed for the Utah Parade of Homes truly has me drooling! It’s by far the best project I think she’s ever done. It’s full of antiques, with nods to English-country style and oh-so-much inspiration. I’ve been waiting for the photos to be released so that I could share it!
It seems there’s nothing that Quince doesn’t make! I just discovered they have high-quality flatware sets at great prices. This style is a classic, yet anything but boring.
Typically I wouldn’t talk about a throw in the summer, but this is too good not to share! Sometimes it’s cooler at night, or the A/C is on, and it’s nice to have something lightweight to throw on. This knit throw is all cotton (a must), the most beautiful shade of blue, and it’s 60% off now!
Another beauty in blue? This stunning little hand-painted tray. Love.
Someone asked me on Instagram about my gold frames that I used in our stairwell to frame our family photos. They are these frames and I couldn’t love them more! The oversized mat makes them look way more expensive than they are and is such a cool look!
This wood bowl is a personal favorite – it’s huge and makes a statement wherever you put it. Glad to see it’s finally back in stock! (By the way, this is the same bowl that PB sold for years but no longer carries!)
It’s a little thing, but I’ve been wanting new coasters and they are surprisingly hard to find – or at least ones I like are! (Do people not use coasters? Quelle horreur!) I ordered four of these well-priced marble ones and love them! There’s just enough color to make them interesting while still feeling neutral. Ordering a second set for the living room.
My beloved cereal bowls are back! I’ve had and loved these latte/cereal bowls for over a decade, but then they were discontinued! However, I’m happy and relieved to report that they are back. We love them and use them daily. I also saw that they have smaller little ‘nut’ bowls now that would be perfect for condiments, sauces, or of course, nuts. (I have the cream but there are 9 colorways to choose from).
Last week’s best sellers: these stunning marble boards (now under $30!) and this very adorable throw pillow!
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

Every year Nordstrom has their big Anniversary Sale, and it started this week. If you haven’t shopped it before, it’s a limited-time sale featuring new-season styles discounted before the season even starts, typically 30-40% off! And though I couldn’t buy until yesterday at my card level, I’ve been scoping out items all week. (You can save anything you like in your ‘wish list’, and then add to cart when you’re ready to check out).
Though I don’t think the sale is as good as it was years ago, it’s always worth checking out – especially for coats, denim, and boots. Or use it to stock up on bras, intimates, or beauty items you’d buy anyway. Note: to shop now you do need a Nordstrom card. If you don’t have one, it’s often worth it to open one. But you can also wait until the sale is open to the public tomorrow.
Every year the coats are one of the best deals (and sell out the soonest!) I ordered this chic long wool coat (above) and this long leather jacket (amazing price). Also love this cropped leather jacket in stone, this timeless black leather jacket, and this classic black blazer.
Two jeans that I love are part of the sale: my absolute favorite new jean is this Frame straight leg, and I own this Paige wide-leg jean in 2 colors (they are very flattering).
I couldn’t order this cute suede sneaker fast enough (love the color), and these suede booties are a favorite and are selling so fast (love the brown!)
But probably the thing I’m most excited to get is this rechargeable dermaplaning device! I literally just saw Shea McGee share it last week at full price and was tempted. Then when I saw it was part of the sale, I decided to order it. She says it shaves closer and is more effective than the disposables I was using, and I like that I’m not adding landfill, too. I’ve noticed a big difference in my skin since I started dermaplaning – it’s smoother, make-up application is so much better, and I feel like it’s reduced fine lines and dark spots, too.
Though I’ve focused on just a few favorites that I love and wanted to share, there is also men’s, beauty, accessories, and even home. Shop the entire sale here.
Last week’s best sellers: this sweet embroidered top and this updated denim jacket (still 30% off).
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

A friend recommended the book Sandwich which I recently finished and loved, so now I’m onto a sequel to that one called Wreck. These novels are light and fun and honestly, just a breath of fresh air. Reading something funny and light is one of summer’s greatest pleasures.
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

I’m a salad lover all year, but when summer comes, I can’t get enough! This Steakhouse Salad with Blue Cheese (above) looks amazing, as does this Grilled Peach, Onion, and Bacon Salad, and this Tomato, Peach, & Burrata Salad is a family favorite!
And because I love peaches so much and I forgot to share it last week, here are 32 of the Juiciest Peach Recipes for Summer!

Home Goods ALWAYS has tons of marble coasters (even exactly like the ones you showed). They come in four packs & are super inexpensive. (Bien sûr quelle horreur if not using coasters😱)
Haha thanks Marti!
