Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Last weekend we finally drove to the coast and visited Point Reyes, and boy was it beautiful! It was such a balm for the soul after being sick for over a week.
And today our temps dropped over 15° overnight and I couldn’t be happier. After days of a heatwave we’re headed for some windows-open weather – my favorite!
And now, let’s talk Friday Favorites!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR

This original 1800s Connecticut home remodel is absolutely stunning!
Let’s talk fall! I just adore plaid, especially in the fall. Plaid pillows mixed in with solids and florals is such a great look and this one is so good (saw the same one on Etsy for more!) And speaking of plaid, I love a plaid doormat or rug! This cute indoor/outdoor rug (40% off) could be used in a kitchen or laundry room, or layered under a doormat, and this plaid jute doormat would be a great fall look without going too themey.
Totally crushing on these French glazed pumpkins and now they’re on sale! Love.
You guys know I love a yummy fall candle and mine were getting super low so I restocked this week. I love both this pumpkin clove and this harvest pumpkin scent (and the vessel is stunning this year!)
When I was out and about the other day I was perusing World Market and saw this amazing basket! The size, the color – it’s perfection.
Last week I shared that Nancy Meyers’ daughter (@thisoakhouse) has her first book coming out, and now this week another exciting announcement came – she has a line with Target coming! It goes live this Sunday at 12a but, you can check out the items, favorite them, and then come back and purchase them once it’s live. I’m eyeing these gorgeous vases and these amazing glass hurricanes are for sure going in my cart! I love that they are casual enough to use indoors or out. This line is gonna go fast!
Just saw these fabric boxes this week and fell in love! Gorgeous. I love the color and the pattern. I actually own the neutral one (I use them in the bathrooms to store wipes), but these would look so good on a coffee or entry table.
Last week’s best sellers: this gorgeous wreath and this pretty throw (still on sale).
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING

Fall fashion will forever be my favorite. Maybe it stems from back when I was young and ‘school shopping’ was something I looked forward to all year. Did you do that? We were always on a budget, but my mom would take me to the mall for one long day before the start of school and I could pick (mostly) whatever I liked within that tight budget.
Of course, growing up in California I typically couldn’t wear my sweaters or cords for weeks (the misery!), but it’s shaped how I feel about fall clothing forever. Fall just feels like a fresh start, you know? And this year fall fashion is looking better than it has in a long time!
These gorgeous dark brown suede loafers were one of my few shoe purchases last year and they are back, yay! And they’re on sale, so double yay! They are super comfortable and run true to size. (They come in other colors, too, I’m just partial to suede as I always find it so much softer.)
I saw someone share a few pieces from Abercrombie and it seems they are continuing their effort to grow up, style-wise. I’m absolutely in love with this pretty and unique sweater (on sale for $45!), this leather belt is so chic (love the buckle!), and it really doesn’t get cuter than this plaid wool barn coat (above).
Love this versatile wool-blend cardigan! I could see wearing this all season.
A great funnel neck jacket that’s sporty and chic at the same time. Love the neutral color.
More yummy fall suede bags in brown and camel: this Coach bag is literally perfection, this suede bag is simple elegance and now 30% off, this toffee-toned bag is so pretty, and a friend just bought this handmade suede bag on Etsy! Who knew??
Last week’s best sellers: this well-priced trench coat and this gorgeous suede jacket (now 40% off!)
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING

I’ve shared lots of ‘best movies’ lists here, and this past summer I decided it was time for us to start watching some of them. We watched a few from one of the summer movie lists, and now we’ve started on the fall lists.
So far we watched Julie & Julia, The Intern, and Dan in Real Life. The Intern (directed by Nancy Meyers) was even better than I remembered. Robert DeNiro is adorable as is Anne Hathaway – it’s such a sweet story and New York looks gorgeous in the fall. Loved it!

THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING

Pumpkin Season has started!
I’ve had my first Pumpkin Cold Brew at Starbucks, bought a few pumpkin items at Trader Joe’s, and yesterday I made our favorite Pumpkin Walnut Bread. Two more family favorites are these Pumpkin Cheesecake Crumble Bars (above) – they’re so good! And these Pumpkin Chocolate Cheesecake Bars. You can thank me later. 😉
