It’s definitely started feeling like fall here and I’m telling you, I’m giddy! I’ve had the windows open and been eating lunch outside – my favorite!
And now let’s talk about all the fun finds I’m sharing this week!

THINGS I’M LOVING IN DESIGN/DECOR
This beautiful home is full of traditional and timeless touches – I especially love the custom transoms.
I’m finally getting the house in fall mode – something I haven’t done in 2 years! Last year we had just moved in and didn’t have a kitchen so needless to say, fall decor was far from my mind. This year I’m going subtle – not that I ever go crazy – but I’m loving the small nods to the season.
I brought out a few of my vintage brown transferware pieces, swapped my blue linen tea towels for beiges and browns, added a few branches/fall foliage to a couple of vases, and yesterday my new fall wreath arrived! Can I say how much I like having a single front door vs. the double we used to have? It costs a lot less to decorate! 😉
Fall decor doesn’t get a whole lot cuter than these terracotta pumpkin cache pots! How adorable would they look holding flowers or topiaries? Also love these woven pumpkins (on sale!)
I just ordered this faux green fig branch (on sale now) – it’s a substantial size so even just one will make a statement in a vase, I love these faux berry branches (also on sale) and though not on sale, I’m crazy for these chocolate faux berry branches. Either of these could displayed on their own or mixed with real florals for added color.
If you’re looking for a colorful fall wreath a friend just got this one and loves it!
Can a log holder be gorgeous? I’m gonna say yes because I love this one!
Are you hosting Thanksgiving? These pretty floral napkins would be lovely on the table (or great for a fall dinner party, too!)
A few of you have asked about a home tour and I promise, I am working on it! We need to finish window coverings and have our fireplace done – those are the two biggest projects left. In the meantime, I continue to work on struggle with the new furniture. Right now I’m focusing on the dining area as we need a new table and chairs, as well as a chandelier. The one I have hanging there now is a placeholder and doesn’t fit.
So… I’m thinking of going with one with a shade. I fell in love with this Visual Comfort pendant but it’s way more than I want to spend. Sigh. However, McGee has a similar option, or a friend suggested looking on Etsy for something more custom. I’ll keep you posted!
Last week’s best sellers: these pretty French-glazed pumpkins (still on sale) and these glass hurricanes from the new Annie Meyers Target line (I got them and they are good!)
THINGS I’M WEARING/WANTING
J.Crew just dropped their first fall collection (more coming later), and it’s definitely weather-appropriate. No heavy wool coats or sweaters yet – just transitional pieces that work well for this in-between time. Love this chic scarf sweater, these wide-leg trousers might be the perfect fall pant, and this plaid car coat (30% off) is so chic!
Animal prints are hot this year and I’m here for it! I don’t think there’s a leopard print I’ve met that I didn’t like, and this year we’re also seeing lots of cheetah and snakeskin prints. In love with this pretty snakeskin bag that could easily go from day to evening (I have a similar one from J.Crew that I bought two years ago and still use constantly), a leopard belt (on sale) is the perfect accent (I’ve worn mine for years!), this leopard jacket (30% off) is more subdued than most and would go with everything, and these gorgeous flats (on sale) come in a tiny leopard that is soo cute (solids too, though!)
And this pretty cashmere cardigan is on sale and comes in tons of colors (I ordered the Ginger).
Madewell is having their Insiders 25% off sale right now – I’m eyeing this cute quilted jacket, and I love both this gorgeous wool polo and this wool crewneck in the brown (they come in other colors, too). Also how good does dark brown look with white or cream jeans like above? Love.
Last week’s best sellers: this pretty and unique cotton sweater and this gorgeous suede fall bag.
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING
Have you guys watched Widow’s Bay (AppleTV)? I started hearing about it earlier this summer but resisted because it’s described as a horror show, which I’m not a fan of. But after our neighbors raved about it, and then Matthew Rhys won the Emmy last weekend, we decided to give it a go! And it is good. Funny (and a little scary), but definitely not what I would describe as horror – and Matthew Rhys is so, so good, as always. We’re loving it!
He also won a second best actor for The Beast in Me (Netflix) which is also so good (and his first show, The Americans, is one of the best!) Apparently, just watch anything that Matthew Rhys is in!
THINGS I’M EATING/DRINKING
I’m starting to get excited for cooler weather recipes and I’m collecting a few to try. How yummy does this Creamy Tuscan Chicken with Crispy Prosciutto look?!
