Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration

Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!

Hope you’ve all had a great week! Ours was busy and full of health scares (yes, again!) But we came out unscathed and I’m soo ready for the weekend!

Sunday we’re headed to an outdoor concert and Monday is our wedding anniversary so there will be a romantic dinner involved. Of course it’s in the triple digits all weekend but hopefully we’ll be able to ignore that, haha!

And now let’s talk Friday Favorites – welcome to September!

How gorgeous is this French farmhouse inspired kitchen? The whole house is full of antiques and lots of texture. I think you’ll love it too! (And those lanterns!! I’ve always wanted to use them somewhere – you can find them here.)

I decided this week that I wanted to elevate some of my kitchen accessories, starting with the crock that holds my utensils. My last one broke and I bought the one I have now in a hurry, but it’s so plain! I love the Farmhouse Pottery versions but they’re more than I want to spend, so I’m deciding between this one (also by them and less than half what it is elsewhere!) or this one which is super reasonable and probably the one I’ll end up with. 🙂

I just ordered this faux millet and this faux wheat (20% off) and love them! (I’m loving the texture they add and they won’t crumble and break like the dried versions do!) And this olive leaf wreath is stunning and could go through fall and even work into the holidays (how pretty would it be with a burgundy ribbon?)

These cozy fleece pillow covers come in tons of colors, are perfect for fall and are on sale for less than $35! Another essential I really want to add this year is a chunky knit blanket. This one and this one have been favorites for awhile and are on sale, but this one is also a great option for much less! Decisions, decisions.

FIY: the gorgeous terracotta vases I shared a few weeks ago are back! I know some of you tried to order them the day I shared them and they were already gone, but I wanted to let you know that they’ve been re-stocked. These are seriously my favorite things I’ve ordered in a long time!

I found a new-to-me store this week called Evereve! They carry really cute things at all different price points (apparently they’ve been around awhile and have brick-and-mortar stores but I’d never heard of them until recently!) Love these wide leg pants (I know – I’m obsessed!) They come in black, too. I also ended up ordering these in the black that I mentioned a few weeks ago – excited to see which I prefer! Two more favorites from Evereve were this cute cardigan and this adorable striped sweater (above) that’s perfect for casual fall weekends!

Lately I’ve been really loving skirts of all kinds! A sweater skirt is always a favorite for the fall/winter months, and I also found the most amazing silk skirt ever!! (Another retailer that’s new to me!) So versatile and chic, and it can be dressed up or down. I bought it in the champagne and the grey – it’s basically a knock-off of the Vince version that’s 4x the price (and it comes in more colors, too)!

A few other things I’m loving: this leather jacket gets great reviews, looks gorgeous and the price is amazing (love the brown!), this adorable coat reminds me of the J.Crew version and it’s much less (35% off), and I’m totally crushing on this gorgeous drapey blouse!

My TV watching had slowed down considerably this summer – did you also feel like you’d run out of shows?! So I’ve been watching a few that have been recommended and are huge hits but that I’d never seen, starting with Hacks. Jean Smart is always good and I love anything she does. I’ve also been watching Stranger Things with my son as well as The Americans which is dark but amazing!

I love a dish made in one pan, like this Chicken with Pan Sauce. this Herbed Chicken with Orzo & Zucchini (above) plus 27 more one-pot meals!

  1. Gorgeous French kitchen ideas. I need to go back and look through them again! Especially love the first crock. It reminds me of vintage ironstone. Also, the first chunky throw is extra yummy. Thanks for the inspiration! I haven’t heard of that store either. I will give them a look. Have a blessed weekend and anniversary!

    1. Isn’t the throw so yummy??? And maybe I need to go back and look at the first crock again before I order!

      Happy long weekend!
