Friday Favorites – Weekly Inspiration
Welcome to Friday Favorites, a series where we share our favorite decor, design inspiration, fashion finds, TV shows, recipes and more!
It’s Halloween weekend! Do you all have any special plans? We don’t usually and this year is no exception. We did a lot when the kids were small, but now our teens/twenty-somethings are in college or go out with friends so we’ll be at home. Our big plans? Handing out candy (which I love 🙂 ) and watching the new Hocus Pocus movie!
And now onto our Friday Favorites this week, where I share everything from a great decor find, to a favorite movie, recipe, or podcast, to a wonderful thing to wear – anything that strikes me as interesting or fun or that you might love, too! 😉

THINGS I LOVE IN DESIGN/DECOR
Love that this home is steeped in tradition, yet feels modern at the same time.
My dish craze continues! I mentioned awhile back that I love this set but I recently found such a great alternative. This set is beautiful, and feels very elevated and more expensive than it is. Love the subtle style and the perfect off-white color!
And of course, I’m thinking about Christmas! Though I won’t be decorating for a couple weeks, I’m starting to plan now. I’ve ordered a few new things that I love and thought I’d share!
This tree skirt is absolutely adorable, plus I found a couple more French-inspired pieces! This Joyeux Noel pillow was sold out the first day the Studio McGee line was released, but now it’s back!! And this small gold laurel wreath is so pretty – and could be used year-round!
I’m also adding a few of my favorite brass bells again this year, plus I found these smaller ones and this bell garland and love that they both give an old-world European feel. And I had to replenish my absolute, favorite holiday scented candle (sells out every year!)
THINGS I’M WEARING/LOVING/WANTING
Two exciting things on the fashion front today! First, J.Crew came out with a new collection for November and there are several really cute pieces. This lace blouse (25% off) is perfect for anything from date night to a holiday party, as is this gorgeous satin number (also on sale), and this velvet blazer (above) is a stunner (the black is so classic but the brown is gorgeous, too!) as is this pleated skirt (40% off!)
And second, I’ve been hunting down super-cute, reasonable pieces and I can’t wait to share them with you! I ordered this mock-neck sweater in the camel and the olive (perfect for in-between days because it’s all-cotton). This boucle crewneck sweater is so cute and a great basic, as is this classy and simple v-neck.
I love the idea of these cozy, sweater-y joggers or this wide-legged pair, and I’ve heard good things about these adorable heels! They’re the perfect height and so chic for the price (plus they come in 25 colors!)
THINGS I’M WATCHING/READING/LISTENING TO
White Lotus was one of my favorite shows of last year, so when I found out White Lotus Season 2 starts this weekend, I was thrilled! Plus, it takes place in Sicily this time – how bad could that be?!
THINGS I’M MAKING/EATING/DRINKING
I’m admittedly a fan of anything pumpkin, and the minute it’s the slightest bit cool, I’m in the kitchen baking pumpkin bread. This blogger tried several of the most popular pumpkin bread recipes on the Internet and came out with a winner. I’ve always wanted to see if I really love mine the best, so I’m kinda dying to try this!
In the meantime, if you want to try the one I currently make and that my family loves, it’s this Pumpkin Walnut Bread.

Oh gosh that’s a bummer! I’ve noticed even food sites do that now, too – so frustrating!
Thanks for stopping by though Donna! 🙂
